Flag of the ANF

The Atlantic-Nuclearian Federation (ANF) is an intergalactic Federation of the planets of Nuklea and Nü-Atlantis* in the West of Sector A1-0 getting bordered by the Tular Republic in the North-West, the Seraphic Order in the North-East and the UCP and Treecuu Star Empire in the South.
The Federation consists of around 22,000 star systems with only around 2000 inhabited systems. Altogether it gets estimated the ANF has 850 billion inhabitants.
Only two highly-developed species are known in the ANF: The homo sapiens, the species the Atlantics belong to, and the homo nuclearis, a mainly androgyne humane-like species from the planet of Nuklea. 
Like many intergalactic nations the ANF has an isolationist policy it mostly only suspends, if it wants to claim more territory for the federation. At this they concentrate to only gain control over uninhabited, but habitable systems and planets.
Genocides are broadly perceived as immoral and stupid, but most politicians and high military ranks won't rule out that possibility, if it's needed to protect the Atlantic and Nuclearian races.

Homo Sapiens

The homo sapiens is "characterized by erect posture and bipedal locomotion; high manual dexterity and heavy tool use compared to other animals; open-ended and complex language use compared to other animal communications; and a general trend toward larger, more complex brains and societies"¹.
The Atlantic form developed on a planet known as "Earth" or "Pacifica", which is debated, if it still exists. 

Homo Nuclearis

The homo nuclearis is a species that's pretty similar to the homo sapiens.
They look and act like humans, but differ mainly in their looks:

- Hair is only existing on their head. The face or other body parts are hairless. Normal hair colours are next to black also white, grey, purple, blue, green, yellow, orange and rarely red.
- The ears are pointed at their top ("elfish")
- The eyes are bigger than those of the Atlantics (comparable with "anime eyes")
- Occuring eye colours are yellow, orange, brown, purple, pink and blue.
- The eyes can perceive ultraviolet and infrared colours
- They have the ability to eat nuclear waste and can bear much higher doses of radiation than their Atlantic counterparts
- Three genders are existing: Female, Male and Androgyne, the latter being the predominant gender. Reproducing works like for humans with Androgynes being able to play the female role as well as the male one.
- Skin colours are dependent on the person's gender. Males got yellowish or greenish skin, females and androgynes bluish or purplish skin. Rarely one can find grey or black skin (black like the night).
- Males and androgynes with more dominant male genes (rare) got little horns on their head similar to those of an ibex

History

In the year of 3234 the Atlantic society left its planet after discovering a method to travel with light-speed. This technology got improved over time. In the year of 4003 the first FTL-flight has been made by the Atlantics. The first contact with the Nuclearians was in the year of 4220, the official announcement of the federation in the year of 4350.
