![[Image: NTRYokB.png]](https://i.imgur.com/NTRYokB.png) On Sunday, 7 July 2019, the Valkyrian people elected Kate Murphy, the Member of Parliament for Stockholm's 3rd constituency from the Labor Party, to serve as the first elected President of the Valkyrian Republic. After her general election victory against six opponents, including former Qvaitican President Victor Cutter, political commentators stated that Murphy's election was an affirmation of social democracy, democratic socialism, internationalism, and environmentalism in Valkyria. However, the Alliance of Social Democrats face an uphill challenge when it comes to forming a new coalition government. As it currently stands, the Alliance will need the support of the Centrist Democratic Party and a second in order to form a new government. On the other hand, the New Conservative Coalition need only the support of the Centrist Democratic Party to win the election.
If the Alliance retain control of the National Assembly, the status quo will be maintained in the Huawan–Valkyria relationship. If the Coalition win control, the relationship between the two countries could change due to the economic nationalist position of The New Right. Margaret Harrison of the Labor Party and Stella Kaufman of the Conservative Party, who represent two different worldviews, are the two leaders who are most capable of becoming the next Chancellor of the Valkyrian Republic. The Centrist Democratic Party have more in common with the Alliance when it comes to foreign policy but may side with the Coalition when it comes to security policy. Nevertheless, President-elect Kate Murphy has stated that she will visit other countries in the South Pacific to maintain and build relationships, starting with Huawan.
The Peony sipped her tea inside the tearoom at the airport on terminal 3. She looked at the airplanes and sipped the tea once more. The current geopolitical standpoints of the region are those that are difficult to make sense of, despite the Reizen peninsula currently left in heavy gridlock, there is no telling of what might happen.

The Peony would be marginally elated to see that the sports sector of Huawan is slowly reforming into one that attained prestige. Her phone then buzzed as she swiped it, and she answered. "喂!" "My Nuwang, the President-elect's plane had just arrived." "Thank you, please proceed with the preparations at hand." "Yes, my Nuwang." The Peony then turned off her cellular phone and sipped her last before heading out to the tarmac with her guardians.

While Chancellor Margaret Harrison is well-experienced in the art of diplomacy, Murphy is not. Having been been mainly involved in Stockholm-centred politics since 2005, diplomacy is a new experience for the president-elect. However, Murphy is not afraid to go outside of her comfort zone, which is why she agreed to this visit. Furthermore, her visit to Huawan allows the chancellor to spend more time toward negotiations for a new government.
"For all intents and purposes, you are the acting chancellor until a new government is formed," said Victoria Haynes, "The chancellor fully supports this visit and wants you to give the Peony assurances that the next government, no matter who will be in charge, will maintain a friendly relationship with Huawan." Even though the president-elect is a staunch supporter of Harrison, Murphy was skeptical that a friendly relationship between the two countries could be maintained if the New Conservative Coalition forms the next government, "If Nicole Chancellor is involved in the next government, she'll likely shut down the tunnels that connect us with Huawan, whether that's as Foreign Secretary or Home Secretary or both." The president-elect was a rebel at heart and would go in her own direction if need be.
"I'm gonna go out there and meet with her, the leader of Huawan," Murphy said, "And I'm gonna tell her the truth. I'm not going to give her fake assurances that could hurt my credibility down the road." The president-elect was ready.

The honor guards from the Peonic Armed Forces were poised and lined up nicely. An attitude that seemed necessarily enacted by the Imperial Military Advisor. Both the Royal Premier and the High Diplomat stood behind The Peony, right in the middle of a long row of Honor Guards. At the end of the carpet are the royal vehicles, with Valkyrian ambassador Blackburn close. The stairs were in place, and the door opened. The commander in charge gave the order. A fresh face that she has seen other than ambassador Blackburn or Chancellor Harrison. Someone she hopes would be warm of stronger bilateral relations. As they walked towards them. The Peony reached out forward, paused and provided a bow before shaking the President-Elect's hand. "你好!" Exclaimed The Peony, "welcome to Huawan, honorable president, I am The Peony of Huawan. I would like to congratulate your successful effort in attaining the presidency of the great state of Valkyria." She pulled her hands away and introduced her two delegates. "On my left is the High Diplomat, Lady-Miss Diao Chan. On my right is our Royal Premier, Sima Yi." Introduced The Peony, with both her entourage bowing towards the Valkyrian delegates. "Shall we proceed now? I believe it is tea time." Invited The Peony.

Ambassador." Kate Murphy turned to the Peony to say, "Thank you for receiving me, it is an honour to be here."
"The honor is ours, President Murphy." Remarked The Peony, before smiling "has a nice ring to it"
The Peony then walked with President Murphy, with the others in tow. "Well, I had thought of inviting you over to drink some tea, as well as have some steamed buns. We could discuss matters of the state there, and in privacy before moving on to the Royal Palace for an exposition." Said The Peony, she paused. "Now before we continue, I would like to ask, do you like speed, President Murphy?"

"Because if I may, I'd like to drive you to the meeting point in my car. If you are alright with it." Answered The Peony, as she gave a smile.

There are only two cars in existence, built by Minna for the former Akane Yan's movie, "Soy and Eggs", her breakthrough in international cinema. While the other one is positioned neatly in the Minna museum, this one was polished, upgraded, and it became The Peony's past time to drive this car around. It is rare that she would allow a passenger, but she believes it would be well to welcome President Murphy to the world of diplomacy in such a method. As they came to view the car, The Peony then turned her back to the row of honor guards behind her. She then did something unthinkable. "谢谢!" Shouted The Peony, providing a slight bow. It did not take long until the honor guards to answer in unison and bowed deeper and would go as far as to prostrate down to the ground if needed. "不客气, 我的女皇!" Shouted the honor guards, as they bowed in further depth and in neat unison. The Peony then turned her back and managed to enter her car in the driver's position. With President Murphy next to her. "Let's go." Said The Peony as she started her engines, speeding out of the airfield with a motorcade quickly going into formation with her. It was certainly an excellent first impression, driving through a crowded airport and unto the exit. A separate motorcade with the other delegates went far behind them. Shortly afterward the car sped up through the forest, en route to the teahouse. "So President Murphy, are you feeling land sick?" Asked The Peony as she changed gear "I have some water on the glove compartment if you'd like some refreshments."
