[COMMUNICATION] State of the Assembly April 2020

STATE OF THE ASSEMBLY APRIL 2020

Hello dear legislators, and welcome to last month's (very late- my sincerest apologies about this!) State of the Assembly!  First, I would like to acknowledge that, this month has definitely had its ups and downs.  We saw ourselves become a little heated over splitting the Ministry of Regional Affairs.  While it does seem like things have cooled down at this time, I would like to say that, we are all friends no matter what is being discussed, we should all be able to discuss things we disagree on without getting hurt at one or another's actions and words.  I do regret not stepping in more to mediate between both parties in this incident, and I do hope that we, as The South Pacific, can move past what has happened and learn a valuable lesson from this.  On the flip side, however, for the first time in The South Pacific's history, we have reached 100 total Legislators, and I unveiled a new program that will hopefully help new legislators become more comfortable becoming active in the Assembly, as well as show them around our Government and a bit of history.  As time goes on, I hope to refine this more and see us continue to grow to new heights in this region.

Now, without further ado, April's State of the Assembly.

Honourable Chair, I believe you have incorrectly recorded legislators who have failed to meet the activity requirement of Article 3.3 of the Legislator Committee Act as compliant with such. Whilst I am aware that it is the duty of The Legislator Committee to manage such things, the Assembly's own records should be accurate.

Heyo, Coulda sworn I had replied much sooner...

So because of how late this came out, I was informed that we can't unlegislate legislators this month anyways.  And you are correct about the vote counts, I somehow missed that.

Thank you for pointing it out!
