[PASSED] Pax Patronus (with the Free Nations Region) |
I totally support this . I am currently the Minister of Internal Affairs and an Administrator. That means I know the most about this incident than anyone here.

Then they changed their minds and accused Crystalsummer of hijacking Indo-Malaysia's founder nation of TMO and changing the password so Indo couldn't access it, resulting in CS handing the founder nation of FNR over.First of all The acquisition of TMO was initiated by Crystalsummer himself. He wanted us to take it under our wings as it was very dead. He started working with our Minister of Defense Affairs on this matter. He told us that the entire TMO is into this deal including Indo. Indo backflipped at the last minute and started accusing us for stealing The Midnight Order claiming that it is his region Although he agreed to the deal before. He accused Crystal of stealing his nation. Instead of providing an explanation then. Crystal resigned as the founder. If you run from a situation instead of facing it people would Automatically think you were guilty. That's what we thought. Crystal explained himself 12 hours after his resignation although no one asked him to resign in the first place. We just wanted answers. (I said earlier that I didn't think they'd acknowledged it - they did but it was like two sentences apologizing to the inconvenience to the mods...)Although we were completely unaware of this situation two Members of the Administration publicly apologized for the inconvenience https://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic...#p37559704 https://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic...#p37561036 If you don't call that an apology than I don't know what is apology :p In conclusion, Crystal was an unstable founder from the beginning. His actions have caused a lot of trouble to our region's reputation in the past. I can assure you that he won't ever come back to FNR. If you have any further questions/concerns feel free to quote me. We decided not to initiate TMO deal because after Crystal's departure and his unstable mindset. FNR no longer wants to associate itself to Crystal in any way. Acquiring TMO would have been a bad choice as Crystal's name was associated with it plus Indo was creating unnecessary drama over this.

Well. You probably don't know me, but I'm the ambassador to FNR (and thus yes, I might have a slightly biased vision here) and happened to experience the whole drama about the TMO acquisition live. Also, I'm preemptively sorry if I'm recalling anything incorrectly.
First off, Crystalsummer has left FNR indefinitely and his person should not play a role for present and future negotiations with FNR. Enter announcement of acquisition of TMO. Indo (elder of TMO) accuses Crystalsummer of having hijacked the founder account and that the deal never had been signed lawfully. He presented his case quite convincingly on Discord and the mood started to turn against Crystalsummer, who had still failed to make a statement by then. FNR Officials like President Heaveria even preemptively made it clear that an acquisition by unlawful methods would instantly considered null and void by FNR, and that they would wait for Crystalsummer to make a statement. When Crystalsummer showed up, he claimed everything to be a misunderstanding, and the Mods and Government retreated to discuss things with him. Now, I obviously cannot be certain of what was said in this private conference, but it seems Crystalsummer, confronted with the charges of hijacking the TMO founder nation, panicked and decided to leave FNR for good. This was publicly announced the next day, and the FNR founder account was handed over to President and Moderator Heaveria. FNR immediately and publicly took stance against the alleged misconduct of their ex-founder. Since the start of this drama, Crystalsummer (in public statements) repeatedly referenced to the affair as a "misunderstanding". You might want to read his post-resignation statement on the NS forums on this. The post by Reploid Productions following shortly after then fully cleared him of all suspicion. The problem is, how should the FNR government/Moderation have guessed this? After all, Crystalsummer never front-on debunked Indo's accusations - the only statement in this direction was claiming that he "and Indo probably weren't on the same page" - and then actually (to the public's knowledge, at least) willingly gave up foundership in FNR and handed over his nation to Heaveria: If this doesn't scream "guilty", what does? To recap; the accusation of Crystalsummer having stolen Indo's nation were not made by FNR. It was Indo, I was there, live, when he started the argument. FNR does not have to apologize for something they didn't do. The affair was fully cleared up and closed in FNR's forum embassy thread, and the Moderation team (if we're talking OOC misconduct) publicly apologized, but for the confusion caused by the whole founder transition announcements. I can only reaffirm that I don't see FNR's government/Moderation being guilty of anything but falling for Indo's - quite convincing - lies about Crystalsummer. Sorry that this turned into such a long WoT, but I had to set some things that were mentioned here straight. I fully support this treaty!

Thanks, I wasn't aware that Crystalsummer didn't say anything to deny before FNR publically posted Indo's perspective. Interesting.
I support the treaty, before I joined TSP. I ran the The Times Newspaper and I was mostly active in small regions. I was then in TNP, Lasagna and with this Newspaper. And I have some of their founder's speeches and related documents which are the one before this all chaos and before I closed Times.
https://www.nationstates.net/page=dispatch/id=1301202 The above is the first and the last Times Summit where you can find their founder's Interview and more other stuff. And I quote him Quote:Hello there; These are few articles on FNR written by Times, I know they are old, but might be useful https://www.nationstates.net/page=dispatch/id=1317523#1 https://www.nationstates.net/page=dispatch/id=1314940#1
Are we good about FNR, or are there still concerns? Also, if there is anything within this treaty that you'd like revised, now's the time to speak up.
Now that the Assembly had five days to debate the proposed treaty and no further concerns have been made, I motion to vote on Pax Patronus.
I second this motion.

Could the Minister explain to the Assembly, just for the sake of transparency, what kind of relationship we have with this region, why this treaty is being proposed and what does our region gain from it?

At the moment, we maintain a friendly, but not allied, relationship with the Free Nations Region and occasionally engage in defender operations with their military. This treaty is being proposed to shore up our connections in the defendersphere and gain a new ally whom we can work with in defensive and liberation efforts in the future. |
