Condemnation of Izaakia.
#1

In order to abide to Article I, Section A, No. 1 of the Charter, the Kingdom of Eareamland and the Federal Republic of GI-Land propose following resolution:
WF-Resolution - Condemnation of the Kingdom of Izaakia

The members of the World Forum are deeply concerned about the development of the Kingdom of Izaakia following the annexations of the regions of La Montagne and Brödmark (subsequently called "regions"), conducted through a private Izaakian company with unknown ties to the official government of Izaakia. To ensure the continued peace and stability on the continent of Bailtem:

1) Izaakia shall withdraw its troops from the regions and cooperate with the World Forum to ensure, the regions are completely demilitarised.

2) The regions shall each conduct an independent, democratic vote on their annexation by Izaakia. Only the populace, who lived in the regions prior to the annexation shall have a vote in their respective referendum.

Electoral observers sent by the WF shall ensure, no democratic principle is violated during the referendum, the counting of votes and the proclamation of the result. If the Kingdom of Izaakia does not cooperate with the WF within four weeks after this resolution passed the Assembly, the Speaker shall file a case against its member state for the violation of the self-determination of the peoples in the regions at the International Court.

The Federal Republic of GI-Land is also viewing the situation in La Montagne with great worry and would support a motion, where Izaakia receives the opportunity to explain themselves, especially on why the current government has accepted - without any hesitation - the illegal annexation of the La Montagne territory by the former Izaakian prime minister.
A potential breach of internatioal law cannot be outruled and thus, the Assembly shall look into the possibility of bringing this case forward to the International Court.

Last but not least, we would like to suggest to the Eareamian representative to rewrite the potential WF-resolution, so we can actually discuss and vote on it. At the moment how it is written looks like a PR-message from the Eareamian government and not like a proposal of action to the Assembly.

Izaakia condemns Eareamlands blatant attempt to discredit izaakia on the international stage.
Izaakia would like to refer the WF to the ongoing parliamentary enquiry into the annexation of La Montagne, and will not tolerate outside interference in this internal matter.
Izaakia would also like to question Eareamian motives behind disarming the La Montagne region.
Furthermore Izaakia would like to object to the terminology “Illegal annexation” as loading the tone of the debate.
Izaakia has also awarded the state of La Montagne democratic rights, and seats in the Izaakian Parliament.

Eareamland wishes for the disarming of La Montagne in order to maintain safety on it's continent, and to not have chances of sparking revolts or wars in the region.
We have a question for you: If your parliament knew it wasn't a safe move: why did you annex La Montagne?

Izaakia considers the demands to disarm as a ploy to undermine izaakian security and expand its own influence on the continent.

Izaakia would like to remind the World Forum that the annexation was done by a private corporation outside the jurisdiction of Izaakia, and the incorporation of La Montagne into a Union with Izaakia is the only viable way to implement a stable democratic government in the region.

Why would it undermine Izaakian security if you weren't meant to annex it?
The annexation, somehow, was a landslide victory, without hesitation. How did this happen, now?

How would the private corporation do such a thing? Why are you avoiding answering the questions?

The Frost Empire views the situation in La Montagne with great concern and would support a motion, where Izaakian forces withdraw from La Montagne. Furthermore, the Empire stresses the need to ensure that Izaakia has an opportunity to explain themselves, as their government has by and large accepted the illegal annexation of the La Montagne territory by the former Izaakian prime minister.

However, the Empire also remembers the recent aggressive actions by the BU and by extension Eareamland and expresses its skepticism on the motives for this “resolution”.

The eareamian motives are, as expressed: The illegal annexation of La Montange, the hope to maintain peace on the Bailtemian continent, fear that it may escalate into something larger.
We don't require you to worry, as all currently involved parties have asked Izaakia to explain.

Izaakia would like to stress that the legal status of the annexation is disputed.
Izaakia would also like to defend its action incorporating La Montagne into the Union as a necessary act to prevent further abuses of power and rights, and as the only authority with the ability to put and end to those abuses and impose governing stability with a democratic oversight it was morally obliged to act to end instability caused by its citizens abroad, without bloodshed, and to not leave La Montagne in a state of being ungovernable.
