In the latest decade, we have carried on a breeding program to save the Bruuman jaguar subspecies from extinction, which has proved fruitful” Brother Unclepear explained, holding up a picture of the feline taken in the island’s jungles.

“Our experts suggest though that some breeding couples should be persevered abroad, so that the genetic diversity can be improved in case of some disaster hit the local population. Knowing the enlightened and modern sensitivity toward nature of the Sedunnic nation, we’d like to gift your zoological institution with one of such couples”.

As the screen turned black and the connection was closed, Vimmru took a deep breath. It was still raining heavily outside, but perhaps the sun was about to start breaking through the dark clouds that were Sedunno-Bruuman relations, he thought. At least he felt Sedunn was on the right track.

As the screen faded to black, Brother Unclepear relaxed on his throne and let his gaze wander in the room. This one has gone pretty well, he thought. He stopped to look at the huge portrait of his predecessor. But it’s only the beginning of the work. Only in death our duty cease. Or maybe not even then.
