Languages and Cultures of TSP
#9

In Sedunn there is only one native language: Sedunnic, which also is the official language. Sedunnic is part of the (tentatively named) languge family "Beilltemmic", native to the continent where the Sedunnic mainland is located, called "Beilltemm" in Sedunnic. The other languages in this family are spoken by small minorities, for example in Hazelbrust.

Austral is taught from the second year in schools. Chosing a second foreign language is mandatory in the sixth year. Most Sedunners study Karnetvorian, Resentinian or German.

Sedunn's culture can be said to be a mix of cultures in real-life countries like Sweden, Italy, the Netherlands and has some other unique traits as well. There are likely similarities with other nations around that "mediterranean" sea, like Ezervölgy and Ubesii (cultural and commercial exchange between Sedunn and Ubessi were especially extensive in the antiquity).

A creole language with a mix of German, Atlantic and Faudish simply called Transsunerian is spoken in Transsuneria. It has also been influenced by Austral/English, Swedish and Sedunnic.

Transsunerian culture can be said to be a mix between Caribbean and German cultures.
