It’s about time we get some more information out about our nations. I thought about doing this recently grouping the nations to make it easier for any new members if they are looking for similarly based countries. The language thread is quite outdated so it would be good to redo that as well.
In the Valkyrian Republic, the official language is Valkyrian. However, there are three minority languages: Valaska (Silesia), Kamchuti (northwest Qvait), and Erisgala (communities on the western border with Hystaiga). Though, the country is multilingual and capable of speaking the international language of Austral.
In the Union of Hystaiga, Erisgala and Blysk are the official languages of the country. Only 23% of the country is fluent in Austral.
The official language of Bruuma is Austral, the official language of Puerto Pollo is Spanish* and the official language of Kai Fa is Chinese*.
*: is there a TSP equivalent, such as Austral for English?
FiHami has 2 official languages- Austral and Finixian. Finixian is the dominant lamguage, only a small group of people are at least conversational in Austral.
I’m not sure if we have equivalents for other languages like we do for Austral. Faudish and Sorbkraian are conlangs but are based off of real life languages. Faudish for example is a Germanic Language based off of Old Saxon with some of the High Germanic Continent Shift in effect while other Germanic dialects spoken across the country. The same can be said about Sorbkraia, which is a Slavic language. If anyone else uses a Germanic or Slavic language, I’m happy to work out a history of how language families spread across Pacifica.
Tbh working out a history of language families and how people historically spread out n stuff would be so fun to do
GI-Land has two main languages: German and Atlantic.
In Snolland and Hazelbrust you speak Snollandic. However Hazelbrustians have a distinct dialect.

Huawan has several national languages, but the one used by government is 2. Simplified Mandarin and Japanese.
The national language is Mandarin (and variation), Korean (and variation) and Japanese. Arabic was newly introduced as the fourth national language. While Austral is not a national language, it is part of the curriculum. Since neighboring Valkyria, Kringalia and Belschaft have austral as the lingua franca. Nesvem bay, the Sedunnic city in Huawan, adopts both Sedunnic and Mandarin as the lingua franca. Now national languages differ between OT, as such Zhanghai has the national language of Austral, Latium, Hokkien Mandarin and Korean.

In Sedunn there is only one native language: Sedunnic, which also is the official language. Sedunnic is part of the (tentatively named) languge family "Beilltemmic", native to the continent where the Sedunnic mainland is located, called "Beilltemm" in Sedunnic. The other languages in this family are spoken by small minorities, for example in Hazelbrust.
Austral is taught from the second year in schools. Chosing a second foreign language is mandatory in the sixth year. Most Sedunners study Karnetvorian, Resentinian or German. Sedunn's culture can be said to be a mix of cultures in real-life countries like Sweden, Italy, the Netherlands and has some other unique traits as well. There are likely similarities with other nations around that "mediterranean" sea, like Ezervölgy and Ubesii (cultural and commercial exchange between Sedunn and Ubessi were especially extensive in the antiquity). A creole language with a mix of German, Atlantic and Faudish simply called Transsunerian is spoken in Transsuneria. It has also been influenced by Austral/English, Swedish and Sedunnic. Transsunerian culture can be said to be a mix between Caribbean and German cultures.
@VPRB maybe you can take one of the many dialects of mandarin, how about Hunan? Since it's the native tongue of Mao Zedong
