Elections have concluded and Stoinia has been elected as the new Speaker of the Assembly of the World Forum.
Votes received, excluding abstentions, are tabulated below.
Esteemed members of the World Forum,
I'm deeply honoured and thankful to this Assembly to have been elected as its Speaker. Together we shall build a brighter future again and revitalize this institution of peace again. This position as Speaker may help to that end, but I intend to work cooperatively with each and every one of you. A famous Stoinian philosopher turned politician once said "Write, boys! Just write!" as a motto for a renewed cultural revolution. In a similar fashion I stand here today to utter the following words: unite, delegate! Unite! Not to align ourselves to one mindset, but in the willingness to improve the world through this institution through cooperation. It was given to us by our forefathers and we'll have to give it all to our children and grandchildren. So let us all come together to build a shared dream we can hand over to the future of Pacifica. However, beside a Speaker stands the Deputy Speaker. For Stoinia that choice has come easily. Throughout our history, we've always had strong bonds with one nation in particular. I quite agree with their motto as well. "In forebears' track for future victories." or in their native language which I'll try not to butcher "Jeme'leō lanleun vrass simmleis". I've already talk with the Sedunnic ambassador, Tavtid Lekmienn, and he has accepted the nomination of Deputy Speaker. With a fresh spirit and an experienced veteran at my side, we will both show the world again of the fruitful relationship that comes with cooperation as both our nations have for a millennium. Let's build this brighter future not next year, not tomorrow, but now. Thank you again and we'll see one another soon enough. Tudor Segărceanu Ambassador to the World Forum of the Kingdom of Stoinia Deputy Speaker Nomination The Speaker of the Assembly Tudor Segărceanu has nominated Tavtid Lekmienn of Sedunn as Deputy Speaker of the Assembly and the nomination has been accepted. Therefore Stoinia puts forward the nomination to a vote in the Assembly. As per Resolution 1, Section B.3 a simple majority is required to affirm the nomination. You may vote Aye, Nay or Abstain.
