Parole Board Made the Wrong Choice on Milograd

I actually took into account his past, but I can also admit that his past does not define him in the present.

While not a defining factor, you seem to be granting it no importance whatsoever.

No I am not. Even with his parole granted, it's not like he's just gonna barge in and continue where he left off. Hell, he might not even come back just to avoid all the drama and I wouldn't blame him.

As you pointed out, only Kris and myself are actually defending the rights he is afforded by The Charter and that speaks volumes for both of us as well as all of you.

If all it took was an Assembly Resolution to take care of legislation that you don't agree with, nothing would get done.

Parole - not a right. Period.

So, The Code of Laws is only valid when it suits you?

Parole hearings are a right. Being granted parole is not.

Being granted parole is the result of passing a hearing. Is that so difficult to understand?

No, but I know the difference between rights and privileges.

Honestly, I'm getting tired of going back and forth with you. We can keep this up til the end of time, but I doubt anything would be achieved. You are simply not worth the headache.

And since we are having some sort of political government simulation here, people can take action if they are unhappy with the government's decisions. People can toss out the parole board law in the first place. Or people can take their elected government ministers to account by tossing them out in the next election, which, by the way, is ongoing.

Long story short, directed to both sides: there are better ways of dealing with things. Being uncivil isn't. Wink
