Parole Board Made the Wrong Choice on Milograd
#31

When someone thinks they're always logical and just, that raises a red flag. Not just for you, but no member of the Parole Board has stated that there's any possibility of fallibility on their part or on the system itself.

So now you're going to question my character? That's a bit of a long shot isn't it?
I can look at the situation objectively. That alone is something many here refuse to do.

and before you go attacking the PB, take a look at what you're defending:

Nothing but pure hatred. Is this what we want for TSP? Is this what you want?

After enduring all of this, I would say that the criteria to receive Parole is far too easy to meet. I don't believe the Parole Board has set a low standard, I believe we followed the criteria laid out in the law, and made a lawful and objective decision. You may not agree with it, but

I do not believe, however, that Arbiter, Unibot, or myself deserve to have our intelligence or our legitimacy questioned in such a manner; the same goes for anyone who supports our decision.

Don't worry GB, I think it is generally agreed that the criteria is the main issue here, as it's a bit of a joke. I'm not disputing that you followed the law as written.

Lets be honest. I think the only people that support the decision are Kris and TAC. I've never questioned the intelligence of the board members themselves in regards to the decision, nor the legitimacy of the decision itself. For the umpteenth time, I don't disagree with the decision. I've simply taken issue with the comments of some of the board members in the aftermath of the decision, and the implication that those comments may have on future parolees. The law is obviously somewhat flawed, and I'm pleased to see someone on the unpopular side of the decision finally admit it. However, I still disagree with the characterization of Milograd as anything but the utmost subjective.

Being questioned is apart of politics. People have every right to express the opinion that the Board's decision was wrong. I am personally sorry if that is causing you discomfort, but this is a political game after all.

Saying that he won't be welcomed here is "pure hatred"?

I find it funny that you believe it impossible to extrapolate Milograd is a manipulative individual based on a long history of manipulative behavior, but think it perfectly reasonable to extrapolate that I am a filled with "pure hatred" because I say that Milograd isn't welcomed here by me.

A few things.
1) can we watch the language please? There is no need for the F-Bomb. just use Tallyho or something of that nature and we get the picture.
2) TAC I am really not sure what it is you want from those of us who disagree with you. YOU "base everything on logic". You've also been here I read what 3 months or so?
Having the right to question a decision is part of what makes up the Assembly. Having the right to disagree with a decision is part of what makes up the Assembly.
"pure hatred" is a strong phrase to use based on some of us putting the safety of our region before "Justice".

There's a list somewhere if you wanna go looking.

What I want is for you all to be able to approach this matter taking into account BOTH sides of the debate.

Penguin Wrote:You've also been here I read what 3 months or so?

That's relevant how?

There is a major difference between "questioning" and down right "refusing"

Can you say with absolute certainty that he is STILL a threat after nearly two years? Can you honestly pass this off as fact without even considering the possibility that you could be wrong?
