The Secretariat is pleased to inform the Nautical Emirate of Sriwijaya that it has reviewed its observer status application and has accepted it, in compliance with Clause 16 of the Charter of the Southern Cooperation Organisation.
Observers may participate in the affairs of the Organisation in compliance with the rules of each of its institutions. In particular, participation in the debates of the Southern Council is allowed, subject to permission from the same.
