Re-establishment of Trust Post the OBT Incident

Wolf, the Fellowship Programme is this thread. It is simply the condensation of all involvement opportunities in one place, so Ministers can know where to check if anyone is interested in their department. The Ministry of Regional Affairs created the thread, but it is not entirely managed by anyone. Each Minister can check it and contact the interested residents.

Farengeto, this is secretly a plot by me to create Dumbledore's Army in the Room of Requirement...I mean to give the Fellowship Program the Warm Bodies it needs. We know from that movie that the key to zombie recovery is the power of Love.

To be honest a lot of great people have come through the MoRA programs so I feel like its a great place for new people to start out and has the flexibility for people to contribute in a number of ways. Like I enjoyed doing the interviews and games and festivals but could not write serious articles.

In TSP, all it takes to be in government is citizenship. Over there, it seems you have to apply for two separate things, and you don't explain how the RA members are chosen. I don't see how this is better than Escade's idea.

Let me explain it like this:

TNP Citizens = TSP Residents, but with more rights

TNP RA Members = TSP Citizens, chosen in the same way, with roughly the same voting rights.

And just like TSP Residents, no one can be rejected from being a TNP Citizen. "Applying" is merely to express your intent.

I'm just going to say this here and now. Yes, I was approached with an idea after speaking with a few who were angry about how things were going in TSP. Yes, there was a plan drafted up. After August 1st, however, the talk on my end died off. I had second thoughts. I just didn't really think it was a good idea. This is evident by the fact that I didn't run in the Justice elections or spend a whole lotta time here trying to, I don't know, gain rapport or whatever. I was gearing up for a delegacy run in TEP and really did not want to do this anyway. Anyway, eventually someone leaked information about this, which this individual later admitted that he was not really interested in 'protecting' anyone, but rather wanted to get after Belschaft. Regardless, I apologized on the NS forums, owned up to it, and took my leave from citizenship here. That was October.

I was angry since I felt that since I didn't enact anything and did many things for the region in a six year span that should count for something. But I also understood that hey, it wasn't good even if I didn't initiate any of it, and I still needed to apologize for it. I still missed TSP, though. In early 2008, I was a raider who really wanted to join a GCR. But since I was a rather well-known raider, I had trouble fitting in a feeder. I settled in TSP, the region that didn't give me a lot of grief. I also started looking more into TEP. Anyway, I'm sure that Fudge, Tsu, Tsrill, Kloister, Mav, Htz, CurlyHoward, Caer Rialis, etc. were suspicious of me, but they slowly started to trust me. When I became delegate of TEP, I think that ended up helping the most. They saw what I did over there, and I was able to realize my potential. In short, they gave me a second chance. Remembering this made me feel sad, because I felt like even devising the plan is no good and kind of blemishes all the hard work I did here.

But, then I read GR's post that talked about sticking to a region if you really cared for it. All things considered, I still care about TSP. Maybe I disagree with how some things are done, but I care about it. So, I joined some RP posts, familiarized myself with the map and stuff, and had an overall good time doing it. I thought about giving citizenship a chance, and waited a bit before applying again. After lookin at the laws again, I realized that the best way to make positive change in TSP was to fight issues head-on by challenging legalities and how they relate to the Charter. This made me feel good - I was making an impact and helping all at once.

When I make a challenge, I don't intend it to be personal. Like, Kris and I have been debating over a legal question recently, and I appreciate his arguments. I hope that the courts consider both viewpoints and weigh accordingly. I don't have anything against him, personally. This is where I need to say that there are certain individuals here who for whatever reason have a clear vendetta against me. I'm through with that. Yeah, there are people in the game you may not like. And people in the game who may not like you. But this constant barrage of attacks and attempts at even abusing the Charter in order to put the fix on people one doesn't like, that's ludicrous and is a bad job outta them. If someone has a problem with me, meet me where I stand - don't attack me in places I can't defend myself in. Talk to me. Chances are I don't want to have a problem with you. Chances are I'd be willing to work things out. Chances are I'd rather joke and have fun than get stressed over playing what amounts to a chess match of diplomacy between me and the person who doesn't like me.

So yeah. If anyone wants to talk to me, I'm available. I have stuff going on IRL right now so I might be a little tough to contact now and then, but I'm generally good to go in the evenings and stuff. I kind of like it when people converse with me, so don't be shy or whatever. I'd like to get to know people here a bit more.

Can you specify who you think has personal reasons to dislike you? Or who is harassing you and where specifically? The lack of specificity not only bothers me but makes me wonder why you have the need to present yourself as a victim?

Honestly, that will only turn this into a fight. If anyone thinks they're who I'm talking about in relation to having a vendetta, they may contact me personally and we can figure things out. Heck, if you have anger toward me, I encourage speaking to me about it.

From what I see, no one has a vendetta against you. People have reason to be upset about OBT. While nothing may have happened, no one involved thought to report it to anyone either. Trust is a bridge that goes both ways.

Once you do something, even by passively not letting people know of what could have become a sinister plot and led to a player threatening and attempting to blackmail another, that bridge is no longer the same and trust needs to be re-established.

The idea of asking people who have lost some of that trust, whether for active or passive reasons, to take certain measures to re-establish that trust is not foreign and nor is it a personal attack of any kind.

I am assuming no one reported it because it died off months before it was supposed to be set into motion. There are many plots that are never acted on, that are kind of jokes, or that people just don't feel comfortable doing. Everyone's a bit different in how they approach them.

That all being said, I am available and I will play nice. I've moved on and I really don't really feel like being involved in any sort of plot after what happened in October. Trust me, it's not a fun thing.
