The Kingdom of Resentine/The Republic of Resentine

The Kingdom of Resentine has served as the Only government in the country for almost 400 years until 1884. However, after several corrupt officials felt in necessary to form a new government to defend themselves from the law, Resentine immersed itself in a century long civil war. during the early 70's, the war seemed almost assured to be a victory for the Kingdom, but, after Baliish fell to the Southern Corporate Alliance Rebels for the first time, there was a sudden change in the tide. The Rebel's tech had improved, so much so that the Royalists were pushed off of the Farenfall river, their main defensive line. After that, it was only a matter of time. One city after another fell to the SCA, right up until they pushed into Theron. The Royal Guard tried to defend the city, but they were simply outmatched, and they were ordered by the King to leave him behind, which led to his later capture and execution. The Royalists were pushed back to the islands of Anton and Cochise, where they have stayed for the last 40 years, rebuilding their strength, until 2015, when Regent Phillip K. Braddock declared war on Corporate Resentine, determined to reclaim the mainland.

The Kingdom of Resentine is currently a limited Republic, with citizens electing representatives to the National Assembly. The executive branch is headed by the Regent, a position that was formerly appointed by the King, but now goes through a line of succession. People have suggested changing the name officially to the Republic of Resentine, and while it has gained traction in the Assembly, it has not been brought up to the Regent.

The Corporate People's Democracy of Resentine

Formerly the Southern Corporate Alliance, the Corporate People's Democracy of Resentine was originally founded by several corrupt public officials and members of Resentine's Private Industry in an attempt to prevent a corruption crackdown by the King in 1884. The SCA and the Kingdom fought for almost 100 years to a stalemate.However, after a massive push by the Royalist military, defeat seemed assured until the sudden and unexpected victory on the colony of Baliish. With the conquering of the island, the SCA found an ancient library of unknown origin, and exploited the library's knowledge to advance their technology, the SCA managed to push back the Royalists across the Farenfall river. However, they wanted more. City by city, town by town, the SCA pushed the Royalists back. THe SCA Captured Theron, and killed King Claudius, and then forced the Royalists across the water to the islands of Anton and Cochise. When the SCA attempted to assault the islands however, they found that they were heavily fortified, and they were unable to land any troops on the island. After declaring the war won in 1980, the SCA changed their name and went on an imperialist craze. After conquering several nations around them, making them Vassals, the CPDR declared war on their continental rival, the Sporaltryan Empire. After defeating the Sporaltryans in 2014, Resentine stood alone as the superpower on their continent. They proceeded to start to focus off of the home continent and towards their international neighbors, having several naval conflicts with The Kingdom of Kringalia and holding Proxy Wars with the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics of Ryccia. In early 2015, Corporate Resentine left Sporaltryus, under the claim of judging it as a nuclear testing ground, and proceeded to nuke the entire country. However, in October of 2015, when the Kingdom of Resentine issued a declaration of war and invaded the mainland, the CPDR was caught off guard, but not unprepared. Hoping to finally crush the last relic of the old monarchy, the CPDR is charging head on into it's re-found civil war, determined to defeat it's enemy once and for all.

While claiming to be a democracy, the CPDR is truly an fascist oligarchy, run only by the rich and elite. While the primary to gain rank in the CPDR is through the acquisition of wealth, some do it through assassination and other forms of corporate espionage. The current CEO/Chairman is Mikol Petrovich, and his Vice-chair is Nicholas Balaton. The current Chairman of War is Vladimir Vanagas.

Beilltemian Empire of Sedunn

The Beilltemian Empire of Sedunn is a federation consisting of Lower and Upper Sedunn, Gileria, Berennia and Ferruland, the Plannsevvd Mandate, the Crown Lands, and several minor subjects. The nation is ruled by the Superior General Corps, headed by emperor Rusull and his family. His line has ruled Sedunn since his forefathers, the Retuxian (originating from today's Gileria) conquered and burned down the former Sedunnic capital Grovne. The Retuxian soon assimilated to the Sedunnic culture and adopted the Sedunnic language as their own. Since their take-over (1758), Sedunn was been in civil unrest. To unite the people, the third emperor, Seffio, accused the neighbouring nation Berennia of planing an invasion. Through brilliant tactics he managed to conquer this four times larger nation. However, while temporarily having dealt with the civil unrest in Sedunn, he soon had problems with succumbing the conquered nation. He again managed to convince both the Sedunners and the Brennians that they had a common enemy: the Ferruans. He started a war that lasted 100 years and ended in the total defeat of Ferruland, which was incorporated into what now was called Beilltemian Empire of Sedunn. Then followed an era of relative peace, but the problems with civil unrest remained.

In September 1908, under unclear conditions, the rest of the northern Plannsevvd coast was annexed. Leading nations protested, but ultimately did nothing. 80 years later, the old Seffioan strategy of uniting the people against a phony enemy was employed once agian, trying to deal with the unstable situation within the Empire, that was reaching a boiling point. The empire expanded north and new territory called the Crown Lands were incorporated. A complete peace was never reached, and the empire still fights a bloody war against several well equipped militias in the north.

The citizens are all called Beilltemians and Sedunn is ethnically diverse, but few enjoy the same rights as the Sedunners, who are in total control all major institutions. The Empire is often accused internationally of being a fascist nation, controlling its subjects with illiteracy as a tool. The government employs a jingoistic foreign policy and spends little on social welfare. When Sedunn annexed the coast to the north, following the complete destruction of several cities, the international community had had enough, and imposed a total embargo. Without a steady supply of oil, which the nation lacks, it is now shifting its focus from its own continent to the south-west and to the oil-rich lands there.
