Trump Presidency
#151

I guess, that's good news:

Steve Bannon, this Breitbart News guy, was kicked out of the National Security Council by Trump.
Perhaps at least one good decision regarding the staff of Mr. Trump within all the nepotism he does.

Huge news everyone: In response to the recent sarin gas attack in Idlib, Syria, President Trump ordered the launch of 59 Tomahawk missiles against airfields, aircraft, and fuel points controlled by the Bashar al-Assad regime. I don't know about you, but my position matches up with Trump. We have to disable Assad's aerial capabilities and make sure that he can no longer get away with launching chemical attacks against his own people. That bastard deserves to sit before a tribunal in The Hague.

Agreed. Although, this is dangerously provocative. I like the guts we have now to do this, but a provocation is a provocation. And Russia and Iran do not take kindly to provocations.

My feelings are mixed on this one. On one hand, this was a provocation that could escalate the conflict to new highs, but on the other, it actually helped to show Assad and the Russians that America is not messing around.

And also, yes, Assad totally deserved that shit.

I'm conflicted. There's no denying that Assad needs dealt with in some fashion, but the issues brought about by provocation and the apparently careless way Trump has approached it at not to be shoved aside so easily.

I also remember protesting bombing Syria about a year and a half ago and it seems odd to celebrate now, even if the circumstances and targets are very different.

I just say nothing to this subject and I do think, it's not really a thing, one can easily discuss about.

Because of the "latest provocations of North Korea" Trump sent a group of warships - one of them the aircraft carrier "USS Carl Vinson" - to the Korean peninsula.
Hopefully just a sign for the allies and nothing bigger.
Regarding North Korea, China, South Korea and the US said, they wanted to cooperate more with each other to solve the dilemma with the continuing nuclear-weapon-program of the isolationist nation.

I'm starting to worry that Syria and North Korea will become Trump's Iraq and Afghanistan.

Unbelievable. Bill Kristol, a neoconservative, tweeted, "Punishing Assad for use of chemical weapons is good. Regime change in Iran is the prize."

*facepalm*

We did that before and it led to a revolution and 52 American hostages.
