After a joint geological expedition by the Imperial Union and the Ryccian Federation discovered a new, whole continent, this new land is now open for colonization! Armed with a half-baked excuse on why this massive continent was not discovered earlier, the nations of Pacifica now set sail and/or take flight for the chance of a lifetime!
So, this is a colonization alternate reality set in the present day. Each 30-day period is 2 years worth of colonization time. You may ask for plots, but be modest and realistic. If you can colonize a continent's worth of land, prove it. Also, since my nations discovered the land, they've occupied two islands. Having received news of this new mysterious new continent, and having long been concerned of a burgeoning population, the Senate and the Empress were ecstatic to say the least. When the surveyors returned, the recently formed Ministry of Colonial Affairs chose to place the Imperium's first settlement on a large peninsula, rich with gemstones and valuable metals, on the northern side of the central bay. The first fleet they chose to send carried an entire legion, 10,000 strong, to both secure the peninsula and build the garrison that temporarily house the 10,000 civilians that followed closely behind expeditionary fleet. Upon arriving, the colonial governor declared the formal beginning of the settlement, now called Pavonis.
(OOC: Okay, I am clueless on which peninsula you are referring to, plus how much land you want. Can you send me a copy of your claims? I am not a master cartographer, so the claims I may draw are approximations of what I saw. I apologize in advance for the trouble)

See the 5 island chain with the largest Western island and 4 smaller islands heading towards the continent. I claim that island chain. Its located to the very west of the continent and directly south of your claims.
You mean east of the continent? I see such islands east, but nothing in the west resembling your description. And, if it is possible, a name for them?

And I like to think that the legion described in the original post lay claim to the entire peninsula, placing a solid straight line when the claim was staked. I'm not the best at geography.
Wow, that's a lot of land. I'm going to put that you claim the entire peninsula, but since colonization takes time, the area of control is not the entirety. Sorry, but at least the land will appear as you've claimed it.
That is, unless you move sufficient troops to militarily occupy the land. Sorry, again, but this is too soon in my mind.
