You know, there days it seems that you are against me, first the SCO and now this.. Starting to think that you're baiting a war with me.

and you know what sounds weird?

1. The nation with a lot of the highest mountains that has immense amounts of snow would not host a winter olympics
2. The July Winter Olympics. (Doesn't sound right. Does it?)
3. Are you aware that the snow/ice competitions (Cross Country skiing, Alpine Skiing, Skating, Bobsled, Skeleton, etc) are all situated in high cold cities like Imperium? Olympia is just the place where it started, but by all means its not the place where the competition started
4. My mountains are permanent ice, they could support some snow don't you think?
5. No matter how you see it, December is winter and July is summer.

Actually, we don't know whether our TSP planet has the same tilt as RL Earth. It could be the opposite, meaning the seasons could work as in the northern hemisphere.

According to the map, the permanent ice can be found 5100 m above sea level, and there is a risk of altitude sickness above 2,400 metres, meaning these areas are not suitable for sports. But I suppose the lower areas would be able to keep snow accumulated during the winter a few months, and snow could also be brought down from the higher mountains.

Seriously Kris? There wasn't any need for that. I don't want to see your bloody red text near me again, thank you very much. And Hammer, the SCO was RP, nations change and become 'bad'. And in this case I'm simply stating facts. Just because ai've had a bad two months or so doesn't mean that because I'm talking to you expect to be at war with me very soon.
1. I'm not against you hosting the Olympics. Go ahead.
2. The name isn't really that bigger of a deal. You can just call it '2016 Winter Olympics'.
3. You're third and fourth points have no relevance whatsoever.
4. No matter how you see it, July is winter and December is summer. There is no way around the map if you're going for canon.
5. Frost, the tilt of the Earth just makes it all complicated and it doesn't really affect us that much. I'm sorry northerners, you need to accept change for once. Also Frost I don't know what you're trying to say in the second paragraph.

The tilt is what gives us the seasons. My point is that our TSP planet (Pacifica) doesn't necessarily have the same tilt as RL Earth. If Pacifica has the opposite tilt, the seasons would work like in the RL northern hemisphere. It doesn't matter to me.

What I'm trying to say in the second paragraph is that the parts of Hammerstar with permanent ice aren't suitable for Olympic games or other sports, because above 2400 m there is a risk of altitude sickness. Still, lower altitude areas could have snow left from the winter for many months, and if too little, they could bring snow from higher-altitude areas. This means that Hammerstar could host winter sporting events after the winter has ended in most parts of TSP.

I'm not sure what you're complaining about. Hammerstar said he felt people were baiting him, I told him if he really felt that way (whether it was me or anyone else) he could file a report. As is his right. I really don't understand what you think I did wrong here.

There was a discussion about it in the OOC thread for Flash News in October. It was dropped. That's what I found when I searched for "tilt"

No, it wasn't. Hammer said he was feeling baited, I simply said he could always make a report. That's part of my job as admin, to remind people they can report stuff they feel is inappropriate. If anything, I thought he was talking about me (even though I don't feel I've baited him).
Zak, in the future, it's best to just ask instead of exploding. It saves you the annoyance and me the confusion. I'm not out to get you, nor do I have any kind of hostile feelings towards you. It'd be much better if we approached each other under the assumption that we both operate in good faith. Because that's how it should be. We're all in here just to have fun, right?
