[PASSED] Amendment to the Regional Communications Act - Replacing CRS with CG
#1

This was something @anjo brought up in the CG Discord channel. Given the recent change that shifted the duty of holding high endorsements to the Coral Guard, and the WFE already being changed to reflect that, I don't think this requires too much explanation Smile

Regional Communications Act
...

2. Mass Communication

...

(3) The World Factbook Entry must visibly contain:
a. a link to the off-site forums and Discord server of the Coalition,
b. a request for nations to endorse the lawful Delegate,
c. a request for nations to endorse the Council on Regional SecurityCoral Guard and a link to a Dispatch containing the current membership of the Council on Regional SecurityCoral Guard,
d. a link to information about the endorsement cap.

I motion to wave the remaining debate time. Second, assuming the first motion is granted, I motion this amendment to vote.

Technically speaking, as long as this is not amended, the RO's are breaking regional law.

I'll second both.

Realistically, this is such a minor change and one that probably should have been rolled into the original legislation.

While this is an innocuous change, I'm not sure there's a degree of urgency that would require waiving the 3-day debate period, which is already short enough. Surely the region can do just fine by waiting 1-2 more days before this is brought to a vote.

Posts outside High Court venues should be taken as those of any other legislator.
I do not participate in the regional server, but I am happy to talk through instant messaging or on the forum.

Since I'd have to wait 24 hours after the second to the motion to waive was made, which would only finish after the 3-day debate time has already passed, this will regularly go to vote at 17:00 UTC on the 24th.

Maybe keep the list of all CRS Members for membership along with the CG members? After all, CRS is still the security apparatus, and we would want people to know who they are?

If the current Delegate wants to include them in the WFE, then whatever, I don't see the point though. But that certainly shouldn't be law because there's just no need.

Not all the current CRS members have WA nations in the region. The CRS should still have the Border Control power, but not really promotion for endorsements. Of course, like PH said: is the delegate wants, sure.
