Depends on the difficulty. You did succeed on reading the Documents, I just made it because it was a 10 that you didn't 100% succeed. Low rolls in D&D sometimes have that effect.
Or, I'm assuming that's what you're tracing this back to.

K, here are my actions.

1b. If failed, roll for air support succession

Action 2. Bat Recon Sonar
1a. Successful meant full 3d map of Dedric.

Action 3. Chess game between Winna and Zooey

1c. If roll is ten, then there's a rare streak in which of all the ten games, all of them end up in a stalemate.
