An oil tanker in the western reaches of the Remetull exclusive economic zone has sent out a distress call after an explosion onboard, but has since then remained silent. The Sedunnic Coast Guard and Navy have dispatched several vessels and aircraft, and a cargo ship nearby is on its way to participate in the rescue operation.

Photos posted on social media by the crew of the cargo ship show a large hole on the bow of the oil tanker, but there is no fire and the crew appears to be evacuating. The damage is reportedly consistent with a mine strike, and if other mines are present, the rescue operation may be frustrated.

Izaakian foreign minister Athena Popadomalus has described discussions with GI Land as highly unproductive, due to the ruling coalition being rotten to the core, with an inability to show any form of backbone or rational strategic thought due to being weighed down by the guilt of their nations historic imperialistic actions. She went on to describe how the ruling coalition has a severe lack of any strategic thought and has little experience and interest in anything other than their narrow interests in identity politics, excessive bureaucracy and hugging trees in their nudist camps. Describing GI Land as a nation that has lost its power, its moral authority and its influence, rapidly deteriorating into a third rate nation.

In a surprising move, RoV and VPR remnants have declared their intention to "unite once more" and "sweep aside the monarchy and Ryccian subjugation". With the Grand Coalition reforged, albeit in a less united structure compared to before, the republican opposition is calling on its former fighters to "reorganize" and stage uprisings all across Valora.

The Imperial Frost government have expressed concern over Izaakia’s belligerent rhetoric over fellow Entente member Gi-Land. Foreign minister Kuribayashi issued a firm statement stating that the Empire will defend its fellow Allies from Izaakian aggression despite agreeing to ease tensions between the Frost Empire and Izaakia.
