Frost-Sedunnic Conference
#2

Sedunnic Minister of Foreign Affairs Hevv Gjieramm

"Thank you to the Frost for hosting this conference, and thank you to those who attend and are listening.

Sedunn has cooperated with the Empire, the WPR and the RDC to restore peace in Reizen and to safeguard international law and decency. The war on the RIM very unfortunately spilled over to Transsuneria where RIM forces conspired and collaborated with former Grand Master Horace Soormann and loyalists to him. Together they took out the local authorities on Karelins, and managed to occupy the island. Like my Forst colleague just explained, the RIM soon established a base on Karelins to support its navy while most our naval forces were engaged in the Reizen Campaign and temporarily unable to root them out. Our success in Reizen enabled us to finally dispatch naval forces.

General, please continue."

Supreme Commander of the Sedunnic Armed Forces General Maks Fejellienn

"Thank you minister. Yes. A significant part of our navy had been providing support to our ground forces in Reizen, and after the fall of the RIM in Reizen, we were able to properly deal with the situation in Transsuneria. While I will keep the exact numbers secret, a majority of the entire Sedunnic Navy was dispatched to the Transsunerian Sea to achieve two goals. 1: to cooperate with the Empire to locate and defeat the RIM surface fleet, and 2: to eliminate the threat by RIM subs to Transsunerian assets in the region and to pave the way for ground troops to land on Karelins.

I will now explain the sequence of events that now has been given the name 'Battle for the Transsunerian Sea', or 'Battle of Karelins' and more specifically Sedunnic actions.

Sedunnic, Transsunerian and Imperial assets cooperated to locate the RIM surface fleet, and specifically RIM airborne radars. The elimination of their beyond-horizon capabilities would allow the Sedunnic and Frost fleets to manoeuvre and get into optimal firing positions, without being spotted by the RIM.

Locating and eliminating RIM airborne radars was achieved through high-stakes surveillance performed by Frost multi-role squadrons and Sedunnic stealth ships, who unfortunately suffered heavy losses. They were however, like the Grand Admiral said, successful, which enabled the combined Sedunnic and Frost fleets to fire overwhelming salvoes at the RIM surface fleet which incapacitated and completely destroyed the RIM surface fleet. An edge in technology and intelligence also added to the Sedunnic advantage over the RIM ships.

This is as far as I know the largest naval battle since the Great War and one of the greatest victories ever. We shall forever be grateful and remember the sacrifice of our sailors, pilots and officers.

The victory in this battle has paved the way for the ongoing liberation of Karelins. We continue to cooperate with the Empire and Transsuneria.

Thank you."
