Perhaps this is a bit controversial, but I have translated the "Oppe karalet?" song from the Great War. Roughly translated to "Are they dead?", the song was popular among Sedunnic troops during the war but was unofficially banned when relations with Karnetvor normalised. There are rumours of it having been sung during the Tasternine Crisis and during the Reizen Civil War too. There are great rhymes in the original Sedunnic version, but it was just not possible for this translation.
Hey, have you heard about Tavtid?
He's been killed. Yep, no more grape harvests for him.
By the Karnetvorians? Ha, no!
He drank too much. Just a little bit too much.
Such a guy was Tavtid, a brave Sedunner!
Hey, have you heard about 1st Company?
They're dead. Everyone, so no more parades for them.
By the Karnetvorians? Ha, no!
They got lost. In the dark forests of Annhotem.
Such were the Javbotnans, all brave Sedunners!
Hey, have you heard about the Flagship?
It's been destroyed. True, happened once again.
By the Karnetvorians? Ha, no!
It was too heavy. Too many easy women for them.
Such was the Tapparad, brave and Sedunnic!
So how about dear King Hevv?
Even him, dead too! Indeed, no more boring speeches.
But not by the Karnetvorians! No!
Because they are dead, all Alexanders are dead!
Before you ask: by us, brazen drunkards.
Scatterbrains, boring story tellers, wine drinkers.
Valiantly wielding Limmvasd steel. Snarfing the show.
Such are we, Sedunners! Watch out, here come the party poopers!
