It began.

[Image: R.06c3a78ca663c27bb3b1dc1f37e46152?rik=M...ImgRaw&r=0]

The delegations come one by one, seated in one of the two circles of the diplomacy table. The inner table, the head delegate or the head of state, leaders, as it was affectionally referred to in her letter. At the outer table were others deemed important to join the delegations. Further out, the press was ready to broadcast these momentous discussions.

Hands were shaken, nods were exchanged, and sentiments caused for delegations to be closer with, or repulsed from one another. The Peony sat down looking at the other delegations settling in behind the small flags atop their tables, with everyone wearing their own stately garbs that project their power, national identity or culture. The Peony herself, wore a dress that she purchased after an incognito window shopping session with princess Ati of Sedunn, empress Astrid and princess Luiza of Stoinia in a small boutique in Hai Men. A white dress with closed collars and an opaque sleeve from her elbows, along with a pair of glasses since she ripped the edge of her contact lenses trying to wear them in the morning.

She viewed the chamber, individuals that sat here are the head of states, which, in international studies, is the highest position of order in the world. Some she knew too well, some she had the grace of a first time acquaintance. Yet they were heads of states, only a non binding cooperation in the form of the WF, or a defence agreement in the form of the CE is what is higher, and none have the realistic power to enforce laws upon people within borders without their consent.

The Peony herself knew of the weight carried on her shoulders, and the sentiments of her statesmen must be vocalized through her. She is the monarch and protector of Huawan, and she must carry that title with strength, wit, elegance and poise.

As the chaperones finished, a signal was given to The Peony. She is to open this summit. She stood and gazed at the map of Pacifica in the centre, she paused and spoke her speech with clear austral, honed by years of practice. She hoped her words are as intended.

"Assalamualaikum, nín hăo!" She started, with her signature greeting, she took her time to speak to avoid any redundancies.

"Honorable leaders of this region, today we converge once more as I call forth the Government Island Summit and welcome you to the historic Syldavia Castle. It is a pleasure to have you all here, willing to let go of petty rivalries and talk for peace and chart a path for a better future for our countries. We, the Peocracy of Huawan, stand before you with multiple agendas which we deem necessary for discussion."

"It is concerning that aggressions across the world have caused an increased probability of instability in this region, time and again this region continues to delve into chaos and instability. The seven pillars event, which saw the nuking of innocent lives in seven cities in Reizen with a nuvlear bomb, forced a new era to the horrors of nuclear devices, and the dangers of rogue terrorist organizations sponsoring insurgencies and civil wars against stability and order. As wars rage in Crabry and Bareland with each delegation finding its own policies for containment, there are entities in this region that continue to violate the sovereignty and stability of our respective nations."

"As conflicts grew, so inversely will our economical security. A looming threat of economical and ecological proportions stands before us, emissions rise as world inflation rates loom. It is of tantamount importance for us, that the security of our people's economic power be stable in the evergrowing commercial world. That we continue to chart a path forward to a future that is more sustainable for nature, for people and for this region. These are the wishes of our Peocracy, and it is hard to underestimate the importance that the results of these discussions shall affect the future of this region, and the paths we charted forth."

"My esteemed leaders!"

"We call forth the summit because we know a fact, that after centuries of horrific conflicts, the world today is passing through the most tremendous period of readjustment that mankind has seen, and a real desire to do away with war is being manifested. An open hand for cooperation is offered more than the barrel of a gun, as we seek further opportunities to mend the wounds of the past and join together in harmonious peace. That peace on earth, and goodwill towards man, can only be accomplished by mutual respect and understanding of one nation towards another."

"Thus, we are of the opinion that the tumultuous sentiments of nations must not deter our efforts to stand on a united front against terror, and the amazing attendance of nationstates willing to advocate peace and stability is nothing short of remarkable. We call for you to speak the positions of their governments on efforts we could adopt to stabilize this region and march onwards to an era of peace and progress. To clear any misconceptions of sentiments, to coordinate cooperation for the stabilization of the economy of the world, and as the previous historic government island summit did, provide an institutional framework for lasting peace and stability."

"I hereby invite the caucus."

The Peony took back her seat and ready to communicate with her delegates from the tablet, she gazed at her Royal Premier and her High Diplomat, she knew there was no going back now.

As the Kringalians hoped in the previous summit, she too, sorely hoped, that the odds were to be in their favor.

President Blanc had swam from the Imperial Yacht to the conference, and as such her hair was still slightly damp and wavey when she stood up to give her opening statement. She looked slightly out of place at the conference wearing what could only be described as summer wear, with a colourful combination of a short crop top, a knee length skirt and flip flops from Izaakian brand the Estrella Company. This choice she was starting to regret, as the air conditioning in the conference room had been set quite low. However, maintaining and steely and fashionable Izaakian aloofness the slightly cold and slightly damp President Blanc began her opening speech.

“My dearest leaders, ladies, gentlemen and otherwise defined. We have been invited to this conference by the Peony, with a broad but noble aspiration, to bring peace, stability and prosperity. But I don’t think it can have escaped the notice of my fellow leaders that she has chosen to host this summit on government island, an island which is perhaps one of the best examples of international cooperation in our region. The ambition of our task during this summit is only matched perhaps by the weight of history that is abound in this place, and with this in mind I must speak clearly and honestly when i say that peace, stability and prosperity are not enough.

Peace, stability and prosperity are not things we can will into being, they are not a policy and they are not targets through which we should mark ourselves. These noble dreams are by-products of liberal, incorruptible and free democracies where the population is both well informed and free to speak out against their government. I look around this room today, and amongst the democratically and freely elected leaders I see monarchs, tyrants and the corrupt. This is not something we can or will accept, peace, stability and prosperity can only be lasting when all nations are free and democratic.

My opening challenge to those of you who are not freely and democratically elected is this. How many monarchies end peacefully and have peaceful transitions of power? How many dictators end up hanging from lampposts? How many corrupt politicians end up in burning palaces? And most importantly, how many innocent people will die to protect your vanity?

Ask yourself what can you do to end this cycle of destruction? Only by surrendering yourself to democracy and liberty can we all prosper.

For those of you around the room sitting there smugly, the democratically elected leaders, I now speak to you. You have to ask yourself if you are willing to sit by as people are oppressed, murdered and exploited? Do all your allies share those same values of liberty, transparency and democracy? I’m particularly looking at the members of the Concordia Entente on that question. And finally, are you truly willing to continue to sell yourselves to tyrants and the corrupt in the name of peace and stability.

Ladies, gentlemen and otherwise defined, you have to break some eggs to make an omelette. “
Gianni: “Izaakia, I hate you so much. You’re such a good bad guy. Must be because of your genes“.

The Head Governor Gorovo Alertz, stands. The eyes of leaders with the power to collectively dismantle his nation stare upon him. Ikaranara always seemed to stand strong, but its stability was just as in question as Past.

Something he couldn't change before his term was over.

"Hello, friends. Today is a calm day in Ikaranara, which is a rare occasion. But, I have this feeling that it won't last long.

You see, since the Junta has taken over the Ryccian mainland, Ikaranara has been in a constant state of chaos. At times I have seen us on the brink of war. And while these past few months may have felt bad, things have been going downhill since about 6 months ago. The time that Ikaranara started becoming relevant again. In those first few weeks, there was intense fighting in the streets of major cities, intense antagonism from the original Pasten regime, and an assassination attempt on my own life. And then, while I was in the hospital, we invaded Past, and while it may have had minimal causalities, it showcases the point of this speech.

6 months ago started the undoing of a long process of healing from 75 years of reign of the Father States. In fact, I would argue that under my own leadership, we have regressed into the same ways of directly after the war. This may sound a bit harsh, but look at what I see.

I see an Ikaranara which has gone to war twice in the last 6 months. I see an Ikaranara which heavily funds its military rather then it's economy. I see an Ikaranara, more militarized than the Imperialist Father States ever were. With a number of soldiers that is gross and ridiculous, that nations double our population could struggle to reach. I see a nation that threatens war over simple diplomatic issues, with an ever-increasing militarized border. A nation forced at times to brutally suppress it's own citizens. Yes, the nature of politics is more complicated than this, but you can clearly see a dangerous pattern, of war, strife and militarism.

My parents, and I expect most adult Ikaranarean citizens' parents or grandparents, fought in the Revolution. While the Allies were fighting the Great War against Imperialism, we were fighting ourselves. And while we glorify that war, look at what we did. We seized our own military, and used it to bombard our ancestral brethren in Past, all to prevent a resurgence of our past. And look at us now. Still fighting amongst ourselves over every perceived threat to our nation.

I do not mean to start trying to play humility, but I never wanted to be the Head Governor. I didn't even want to be a NA member. When I got into politics, I wanted to be a diplomat. But it never works out how you want it to in this career, does it? No, people kept telling me to go higher, first a NA member, then Head Governor. Yes, I won, but at a cost. Many hail me as a great Ikaranarean leader, but what do i see in Ikaranara? A great leader would improve their country, but all I see is downturn.

So, world leaders, if you have been deterred by Ikaranara's conduct on the world stage, I deeply understand, and I hope that in the future you will see an Ikaranara that thrives internationally, with a welcoming populous and rich culture to explore. But, for now, I see lifetimes of work to be done."

He sits back down. He had just essentially told the international community that he believed that Ikaranara was a country unable to break its roots of instability. This was a warning, of what he thought could come in the following months.
From Triagular tribes to multiethnic Imperium, these three names are seen throughout all of history.

Vimmru sighed as he listened to Blanc. He then spoke up.

"Colleagues, this summit is a unique opportunity for seeking common ground and means to address the perils that threaten the region. I will therefore start by commenting on President Blanc's opening speech, which I cannot interpret as anything else but an attempt at derailing this summit before it even started, and I cannot let it stand without comment.

She speaks of democracy and liberty. However, as evident by the Izaakian invasion of N&GB, democracy and liberty cannot be enforced by an invasion. They must grow. From the ground up. And I find her remarks about the oppressed, murdered and exploited ironic, as Izaakia has no second thoughts about arming nations that are the opposite of democratic and free.

Now, you wonder, am I too derailing the summit by making it about Izaakia? No I will stop here, but I call for a more humble approach, so we can start the work."

Boisterous laughter could be heard from the Terminan Delegation after Vimmru finished speaking, "Leave it to the colorful 'leader' of the USI to highlight the elegance of the Sedunnic King eh Governor Graham." said one of the Delegates "I'll bet you're thinking how you've royally missed out on opportunities backing those antarctic hypocrites."

"Shut Up Governor Rahl, At least we're not backing those psychopaths in Ryccia like you!" retorted the Terminan known as Graham.
"Now that's uncalled for the Ryccians saved your godforsaken city from the Karnetian imps back in the Great War, and now you dare spit on their accomplishments because their undergoing a revolution? For shame Graham." responded Rahl. "And those Ryccians straight up murdered thousands of innocent Ryccians for nothing." said Graham, "The Ryccian People had nothing to do with the dishonorable actions of that Junta, they are trustworthy business folk unlike those scheming Izaaks who'll interfere and block our businesses in the name of their security..."

The Terminan chancellor, Amor Ifukube, looked slightly embarassed as the Factional leaders of the Pro-Ryccian and Pro-Izaakian Terminans bickered openly. To the Chancellor's left the leader of the Pro-Entente and Governor General of Higurashi, Himiko Sugihara, refused to acknowledge her colleagues antics shuffling some documents to prepare her own statement. To the Chancellor's Right, the Governor General of Point Rain and CEO of Point Rain Armories, Garek Nobel, grinned as he stood up and placed himself in between the bickering Terminan Delegates shutting them up with a simple, "Gentlemen, please we're here to discuss more important things than the Usual who's the better market." Governor Nobel looked across towards the rest of the summit attendees and continued, "Apologize for the slight deviation by my colleagues, they're a tad too loyal to their foreign markets. Now...

Ladies, Gentlemen and of course everyone in between, The City-State of Point Rain is honored to be a part of the Terminan Delegation to join this summit. I've heard the usual pleasantries of how we should all strive for peace, stability and prosperity. All very honorable notions, but spare us the platitudes. We're not gullible voters who need to hear that bland nonsense when we are all leaders with our own interests and agendas. Oh and don't even get me started with this obsession with mob rule you all call Democracy." he says looking directly at Stella Blanc, "Pretending Democracy's are some kind of incorruptible shining beacon for the masses. Ugh, it makes me sick to my stomach to hear such nonsense when democracies are just as susceptible to corruption as any other form of government and end up as authoritarian governments and dictatorships because the people willingly sign away their rights..."

"At the very least have something else prepared than the cookie cutter introductions that scream of hypocrisy like Governor Alertz here. I and I'm sure there are others among you who are genuinely shocked to hear a man tasked with leading his country throw out that responsibility and honestly say that he is powerless to stave off the incoming storm. A man who understands his limits and swallows his pride. That... my colleagues is commendable and Point Rain would be Proud to support the Ikaranan people and Governor Alertz provided our interests align." continued Governor Nobel as his tone shifted from pure venom to a pleasant and understanding voice to indicate he too wished to see a prosperous Ikaranara.

"Much like how we will continue to support the People of Hystaiga with weapons and specialists until they regain their independence and are compensated for the unjust invasion of Hystaiga by the Valkyrian Aggressors. Point Rain hasn't forgotten the fact that it was a 'Democracy' that started an unjust and cruel war against a neutral power and expect the Hystaigan people receive reparations from the Valkyrian occupiers. Even if the Hystaigans are the historical foe of the Valkyrians, this war was still unjust. Some of you may point out our deal with Former Defense Minister Bente of Hystaiga to claim that we are hypocrites for calling the war unjust and war profiteers, going so far as to claim that the only reason Hystaiga even deals with Point Rain is because of the unjust invasion. Some of you eagle eyed critics might even go on to claim that our deal was voided by the Supreme Voice of Hystaiga when he was forcibly ousted, but I can assure you that despite the unfortunate circumstances of his ouster the man was a true patriot in our dealings with Point Rain Armories.

Now, our arrangement with Hystaiga may have started from the unjust invasion, but rest assured, Point Rain is fully aware that we are profitting from the defense of Hystaiga and have no reason to deny that is the case. Why Yes, Point Rain is profitting from the defense of another country and we'll be happy to send weapons to the enemy of your enemy when your nations fingerprints can't be found on the guns. However, when the Hystaigan military was forced to become a resistance group to fight on, Point Rain remained when other foreign businesses turn to support the Valkyrians or leave calling it a lost venture. Point Rain remained because it wasn't just some unprofitable venture that was too costly to leave, but because our honor demanded for us to remain and send in a steady stream of weapons for the Hystaigan resistance to use against their occupiers.

Why Honor? Minister Bente agreed to lease us land for resource extraction, but he ensured that both Hystaiga and Point Rain maintained a mutually beneficial arrangement where neither side is unfairly exploited. And how did Point Rain repay that trust? By sending advanced prototype tanks that were not ready for combat as a gesture of good will leading to unnecessary losses. A result that led to the minister's ouster and mud drawn on the reputation of Point Rain as a reputable munitions company. An unacceptable outcome for any reputable manufacturer be it arms or equipment or company based in my city-state. Many Employees were dismissed and we moved swiftly to rectify that mistake since a business can only be successful when valued clients trust in the company... but I digress..." Governor Nobel pauses as he takes note of the other delegates and continues.

"Returning to the subject at hand, Point Rain is always willing to support those whose interests align with us and We hope that the rest of the region isn't swayed by such platitudes of peace, harmony, liberty. Where the previous speakers see chaos and ruin, Point Rain sees infinite opportunities and paths with which to enrich all of us. The Price for Peace, ladies, gentlemen and every one in between is at all time low, a bargain ready to be made. The question now is how you will make peace work for your agenda. Thank you."

Government Island Summit
Ryccian Junta Delegation

"Bastards, the lot of them"

In order to show their intentions, the junta appointed some of their most fanatical military officers as their delegation. Grand General Hebert Ailsur, one of the members of the junta, was leading the group. No civilian officials were present in their entourage, and they all sported military uniforms. To the junta, this was a chance to show that it still stood defiant in the international stage.

It was time for the junta to speak. They were close to refusing to attend after Mirrey was allowed to send a delegation, but they reluctantly went anyway. Ailsur looked at the leader of the delegation in the eye, that treacherous "President" Lily Stloncht. He wished he could lead the firing squad himself...

Well, it was time.

"Members of this summit, the Ryccian Federation comes with one single message in mind. Ever since we began a path of rectification and self-strengthening, the hostile forces of Pacifica have launched an unprecedented and unjustified assault on our national security and integrity. This we can never ignore. The Ryccian Federation will forever and ever defend its sovereignty and dignity, to the death if need be. To the Izaakians here: you are a poison on this world. Your vile acts of subversion will never be forgiven, nor forgotten by the Ryccian people. If any sanity is left in these halls, I call upon the international community to recognize the maverick and belligerent actions of the so-called 'United States of Izaakia', which is an illegitimate terrorist organization currently holding the nations of Brödmark and La Montagne under an illegal occupation, as well as provoking the Ryccian Federation by their flagrant and hostile establishment of terrorist bases surrounding our core territories"

"To the Mirrey traitors present here: you will be executed for betraying the nation! Each and every one of your heads will roll for such blatant and disgusting sedition! Do you have any love for your country? Do you wish to sell our homeland out to the foreign hostiles, many of them present in this very hall? You are sabotaging the nation, our defense and safety! You have no shame! Never believe this will ever go unpunished, spineless sellouts!"

"To those who criticize our actions in Valora: peace and stability is paramount for our region of Pacifica to survive and flourish. It seems all the forces of chaos on this planet are hellbent on sowing their toxic seeds, hoping the fruits of destruction take root in Northern Cordilia. Supporting rebels against the legitimate government of the Kingdom of Valora only extends the bloodshed and instability of the region. You are the butchers who keep spilling more and more blood. I do wonder how you sleep at night. We will not compromise on the peace, sovereignty and territorial integrity of one of our oldest allies. If you desire to subvert Valoran sovereignty and the peace of the troubled nation, fine! We'll meet you on the battlefield, ready to crush these threats to the common good!"

"Let it be known, the policy of national pacification will not end, and we will not and ever rest until the nation's serenity is restored. The traitors and seditionists within, clearly supported by hostile foreign actors, cannot and will not be permitted to win. We will use all the force that is absolutely necessary to defend the rule of law and order. If you wish to defy us, foreign puppeteers, bring it on! We are not afraid of cutting one tree so a thousand don't burn in cinders"

"We will push on ahead, no matter the cost. Ryccia will always and forever prevail!"
Deputy Regional Minister of the Planning and Development Agency(March 8-May 19, 2014)

Valkyrian Prime Minister Steve Bennett kept a pensive look on his face while listening to the other leaders speak. His face mostly remained motionless save for his eyes that followed whoever was speaking. The newly-elected prime minister remained quiet while deciding the appropriate moment to speak. At times, his eyes turned to the Hystaigan supreme voice, who he knew and understood was distrustful of him due to a long line of Valkyrians before him who had made broken promises to Hystaiga many times before. Also, as Valkyria neared an era of peace, the opposite was true for many other states. Bennett knew this and knew what lied in waiting if a war broke out. For this, he could not let it stand without protest.

Friends and comrades, esteemed leaders and delegations, I came here today with one word on my mind, but on the way here, I also thought long and hard about our children – the children of Valkyria, of Hystaiga, of Ryccia, of Frost – our children of all nations. I think about all that they've had to endure for years on end – years of war, of violence, of bloodshed. A generation of children in this world will live the rest of their lives knowing the pains of war, and Valkyria will be no different. Our children, some of whom were forever lost in these wars, will remember these years – remember the failures of their leaders.

I cannot say that I know everyone in this hall, nor their histories or life experiences, but allow me to share mine. My parents were human rights activists who stood against oppression and tyranny. For their stand, they were imprisoned and tortured. Eventually, they were set free after the tyrants who sent them there were overthrown by a revolution of a million people – ordinary people – who came out of their homes and workplaces to end the fascist regime. Our tyrants, fearful of the people they oppressed – how does the Austral phrase go? – ran for the hills, and my nation was finally a democracy, imperfect, but a democracy nonetheless.

Growing up, I knew only democracy, but I also only knew peace, all for the first 30 years of my life. I was a sailor – joined the navy – but not for any cause in particular. I thought about the adventure more than the thought that I would have to take someone's life. I spent 11 years in the military before having to do that, but no training in all that time prepared me for the day that I took someone's life. 2014 was not a glorious year, not by any account. By my count, my hands are responsible for the death of at least 114 people, 114 too many. I don't have any hatred for the people I killed because I know they were pawns. They didn't choose to be part of that war, that decision was made for them by their leaders who ruled from afar.

Neither I nor my comrades were given a choice either. That choice too was made for us by people who thought they knew better. Time and again, the choices they made only led to more pain and suffering. Until last year, I had but one child. Today, she sits in Odin's hall, Valhalla, alongside all of the slain. She was only 20 years old. Same as I don't blame the Sporaltryan soldiers I killed, I don't blame the Hystaigan soldiers who killed my daughter. None of us had any choice, for that choice was made for us. So, as we sit here in his hall, I want you all to understand that the choices we make today will affect millions, if not hundreds of millions, of people we will never know, but they will know us and the choices we make.

I want to thank the Peony, Valkyria's southern neighbour, for inviting us all here in a time of great need. I also want to point out that both Valkyria and Hystaiga are here today at this summit. As we speak, our foreign ministers are negotiating the terms for peace between our two nations. One thing is clear: Valkyria is no longer interested in war, and as long as the people of my nation keep me and like-minded people around as their voice, that will always remain true. I had shared with you a story about me, but now, I want to share a story of my nation.

The largest, most populous city in Valkyria is Gullkysten, a city resting along the mainland's coastline and one that I had come to know very well. It is a peaceful city today, but you wouldn't know that a thousand years ago. Countless people died on that land because of conflict between warring clans in the north and the south. I am not ashamed to admit that Valkyria's history is one of blood. War was in our culture and, to some extent, it still exists today. We honour all who die in battle. Our nation's highest honour is the Order of Einherjar, granted to all who meet glorious death in battle. We believe that all who die in this way will be taken by the valkyries to Valhalla for an even more glorious afterlife.

And so, our ancestors fought for centuries more than a thousand years ago. The city that we now call Gullkysten was the battleground between clans. It was a battle for land, for water, for honour. For six hundred years, so many people fought along that coast and died. Wars waged on that land for centuries because of broken promises, instigators, or just war for the sake of war. Then, one day, the leaders of the two largest clans forged an alliance and agreed to merge and defend that land against anyone who tried to take it. It was then in 996 that the era of warring clans ended and Gullkysten began.

For those of you who do not know, Gullkysten is Valkyrian for "the Gold Coast", but it wasn't because there was any gold. It represented the prosperous future of that land, its promise, its potential. For a thousand years, that land knew peace. I spent ten years of my life in that beautiful, peaceful city. Sometimes, I'd enjoy a cup of coffee at sunrise while watching and listening to the roaring waves of the sea. I felt at peace with everything around me. Then, 2014 happened. The city I had come to love was destroyed by war. I was there as friends and comrades died. So many innocent people – civilians – were killed. Over what? To this day, I have no idea what this fight was over other than the selfishness and greed of our leaders.

There is a reason why I am telling you these stories. The first thing I told you was that I had one word on my mind, and that word was "choice". We, the people sitting here at this roundtable, have the ability to make a choice that carries so much weight. We are among the few who have that ability. It's always easy to make the choice that's convenient, but it is the hardest choice of all to do what is right. That is the choice that protects as many people as possible, the choice that results in the least pain, and the choice that allows our children to live long, full, and happy lives. All of us here have a choice either to continue needless suffering or bring about peace in our time for all time. That is a choice we will all have to make.

I cannot promise you that the path to peace will be easy, nor can I promise you that future leaders will honour the promises we make today. Despite Valkyrian culture valuing those who keep their promises, we admittedly do an awful, lousy job of doing just that. However, I can make a promise to you today, tomorrow, and in the foreseeable future that Valkyria's choice is the choice of peace for all Valkyrians, for all Hystaigans, for all people in all corners of this world. Six years ago, our prime minister, Margaret Harrison, saw to it that Valkyria's national motto was "peace, freedom, and democracy". My choice is to live up to that motto, for it is our national promise, but I will add three words: for all people. That is my promise.

The Stoinian King remained calm during the many speeches. He was angered by some and moved by others. He gave away some glances and smiles at the other leaders depending on their remarks. A cautionary gaze at Blanc, a trusted smile to Vimmru and saddened look at Bennett. The world had indeed turned into a wrong corner, but there was still hope. Finally it was his turn to say a message to all the leaders and he wanted them to see the good that had come as well. Sternly he looked around the table at the summit.
- "My fellow Pacificans... I can smell the polarized air in this very room. Truly I can see you're all politicians here. I drank and toasted on many things with some of you. To friendship throughout hardship, to peace, but I think the most important one yet was to evolution and not revolution." He gave a strong glance at Blanc in the hopes she remember his visit to Izaakia. He wasn't glad to see the President attack him here in front of the whole world, but alas she was an Izaakian politician after all. The very top of the food chain. "I fear most of us have forgotten that the strength of humanity lies not in revolution, but instead evolution. It's a bad habit of ours to define history by all the bad major events and not the good that define our times. I too served in the Stoinian military... 365. That's how many soldiers I've lost under my direct command in Spiras and other places in fights against revolutions. I saw the death and destruction these bring and not a day goes by without me remembering each one of the soldier's I lost. I therefore am glad that Stoinia has taken a stance to bring prosperity and eventually peace. I commend the project by our Prime Minister Vlaicu to create the Cross-Mediterranean Economic Community. A project to strengthen the Mediterranean through cooperation. I may not have been elected into my position, but every Stoinian monarch has understood the value of cooperation since the founding of our Kingdom. It's why we've become prosperous and wish to share our peace with everyone through cooperation. Look at CMEC, the CPSC, ... Have we forgotten what the spirit of cooperation can bring us? It brought us to the Maxima and back. Let us reclaim that spirit of cooperation. Because we have the infrastructure to do so. This summit, economic partnerships, the World Forum... These are all within our grasp to forge a brighter future. Not just for us, but for the sake of our children. It's time we reset our focus again to the horizon and not the past. And I must thank her Imperial Majesty, the Peony, once again for bringing us all together."

Next to the Stoinian King was Secretary-General General Corina Noica, the fresh Secretary-General of the Concordia Entente. The CE was a large organization of 10 member nation who formed stronger ties with each other through defensive pacts and economic & technological cooperation. Despite her also being the Supreme Commander of the Entente Theatre in Bareland, she made an exception to leave her command to her joint staff while her new duties called for her again. She had answered the Peony once and this was her second such visit. Though admittedly, she could now say it in front of the entire world.
- "Ladies and gentlemen. I'm happy to see many of you here from all the continents. For the Entente I represent also is spread along the many continents of the South Pacific. It is however regrettable that some have come to view our organization as a provocation and it is the firm belief of this strategic alliance that such polarizing spreading of fear is unmerited. The goal of the Entente is not to form a political bloc, but strengthen the bonds of our allies and ensuring those bonds. The joint military campaign in the Denverian Civil War has stunted the organization's foundation, but we are determined to overcome these obstacles. Together we will show that strength lies indeed in cooperation. Our willingness for such cooperation can be seen in any step we take, through a joint command structure for efficient military operations as well as operating alongside new allies such as the Peocracy. The Entente was not created due to one catalyst, but instead because of the events from the past decade. No one should feel targeted because of us. We exist only to strengthen the bonds between our nations and set an example to preserve the peace we have. Angering ourselves over hypothetical situations should no longer be part of our times. Let us shake hands on new partnerships to stabilize Pacifica so that we may truly achieve peace in our times."

Next in line was the Myrian President Mara Khuri. The stylish Myrian wore exquisite fabric native to her country she represented. A white shirt as a sign of her peaceful intentions. To her it was a dream come true, she was perhaps one of the youngest leaders in the room and was glad to prove all the little girls around Pacifica that they too could stand there one day. She too would give all them hope.
- "Gentlemen, it is perhaps no secret that among the more younger leaders of the world. But as his Majesty Andrei of Stoinia explained, despite how the world might look right now, it's not too late to turn the clock around. Myria's willingness to work with anyone around the globe has proven to be a cure for out struggling nation. The road will be paved with hardships, but with the right willingness we will overcome them. Many might not believe that a 34 year old retired model could make it to become a President. Well here I stand, a message that great things can be achieved with the right perseverance. I stand here to all those who may have doubts that we can indeed break the impossible. Through cooperation anything is possible. So let us build a new yacht. Faster, stronger and sturdier to build an everlasting peace."

Finally it was the Sallodesian President's turn. Despite his best effort to not grant the internet any more material for memes, his facial expression right before his speech had another such gem as he put his headpiece down. The President was known as a joker around the world, but he knew when to turn serious. Today he would prove that once again.
- "Ah yes... Wonderful words by Miss Myria. I don't intend to boast, but if there's one nation who truly stands as a symbol of what cooperation can achieve. It's Sallodesia or as I like to call it: the dreaming Kybok. Despite the past turbulent historic times of our nation, the tensions between ethnic groups and at times political factions, we have overcome those perils together. Together we have built a strong society that values cooperation. As some of you might have noticed, Sallodesia has sought out strategic partners around the globe. Not to set a wide dominion like in the colonial era, but to work closer with everyone around the glob and prepare ourselves to preserve peace. From the shores of Westgen to the mountains of Andrendia, from the skies of Kliegma to the bays of Kosbareland, Sallodesia is a growing partner around the world. Striving to build everlasting relations with all Pacificans regardless of their colour, origin or creed. We have learned the hard way that oppression will not last and freedom cannot be kept within a cage. Freedom will always prevail and must be protected. Hence the increase of strategic partners and we are still looking for more. All in the name to strengthen old and new bonds so that our nations may not be faced with the horrors of war. Sallodesia is an adamant partner around the globe and we will continue to be so. Through partnerships or humanitarian aid, we stand ready to embrace the future."

Garovo Alertz looks at the Junta's diplomat, for a fraction of a second showing a dangerous emotion to international efforts.

Disgust.

"With all due respect, which as far as I can see, none is due, I cannot truly see how it is the Ryccian Federation who thinks these things, when in fact, the Ryccian Federation has yet to speak, since we are talking about the government that has currently moved to Mirrey.

What I think you mean, good sir, is the Ryccian Junta, a terrorist organization bent on claiming the territories of the Federation. In that case, I will rebuke you, although I cannot fathom why it is seen fit that terrorists openly walk the building of a place named Government Island.

How can you execute members of government who had the courage to uphold the power of constitution? It is of course, because you seek revolution. You see, you are not the Ryccian Federation, any more than Ikaranara is still the Triangular Empire. This is because of a constitutional change. Even if our territories had stayed the same, we are a new government, with a new system and a new order. In this way, even though we control the same central peoples, we are not the Triangular Empire.

Using that logic, we can determine that you are not the Ryccian Federation, exemplified by the fact that there are territories still upholding the Ryccian law. Then, what are you? I struggle to call you a government. A government is supposed to exist for the betterment of its peoples, so what do I see in Ryccia? I see tanks rolling down the streets at a minor protest. I see media suppressed. What kind of government has to have the threat of its economy completely collapsing to make basic reforms. The unskilled leadership of insurgents. Terrorists. And so, since I frankly cannot see you as a government, that is what I will call you. Terrorists, like you truly are.

To your actions in Valora, how can you be leading for peace and stability? You lead a long, unsuccessful campaign rife with war crimes, to which I pray you will be held accountable for, all for what? To push your own national agenda onto the citizens of a weaker nation. I wouldn't be surprised if you came up with a reason to annex Valora outright, to grow your power and help you antagonize the international community.

And millions will never forgive you for your murders. You killed innocent civilians from other sovereignties, including Ikaranara. Ikaranara will never forgive the Junta, not until we see your leaders deposed and held accountable for their actions. Not until the Ryccian Federation is put back into power.

And so, there. Since you were too fearful to say it, I said it for you. The true agenda of your military dictatorship that falsely claims to be the Ryccian Federation."
From Triagular tribes to multiethnic Imperium, these three names are seen throughout all of history.

Narus (Narûs)
Ranaras
