In a shocking turn of events the Reizen garrison has initiated a coup d'état ousting the Oligarchy and installing members of the RDP. The coup has sparked a massive exodus among minority ethnic groups fearing a return of de facto racial discrimination, while the RDP swears that it will uphold the civil rights laws instituted by the now exiled oligarchy.
Meanwhile in the mainland the response was swift with both President Kensei and Crown Princess Remilia Firenze condemning the coup and enacting a state of emergency. Travel to the Reizen province has been suspended and the Foreign ministry is reportedly reaching out to other governments to discuss methods to safely evacuate foreign nationals in the now dangerous war zone

In response to the violence in the Frost Empire's territory, Grand Minister Octavian Viranius of Pax Dracon held a press conference calling for "the immediate end of hostilities between the factions of Reizen. The damage done to the lives of so many innocent people is an affront to basic human kindness and common decency."
