The Frost Empire has formally renewed its request that the impounded warships be scuttled. Despite being enemies the Empire has cited safety and environmental concerns due to the critical condition of the warships.

The Imperial Senate has denounced the civil war between the RDP and the Frost Empire, calling the violence 'senseless and barbaric' and pointing out that no matter how many precautions either factions take, more civilians are likely to be displaced or killed if the fighting continues.

In a sign of good news for the besieged residents of Ikireijin, the Imperial Frost Navy and Mibu local garrison have successfully broken RDP control of the coastal seas in a series of engagements, guaranteeing the safety of civilians escaping by seas. Undeterred by the loss of a wide swath of sea space the RDP vowed to force the defiant city into submission by escalating their artillery and aerial campaign.

Sedunn has declined the Ezervölgyi offer of assistance with the RDP warships. The Sedunnic government also stated that "the [RDP] warships will not be scuttled in Sedunnic or otherwise waters and further stress already strained marine ecosystems".

The Frost Empire respects the Sedunnic decision not to scuttle the warships, but reiterated its call for the destruction of the warships or transfer them to Frost custody. The Empire has offered to fund the safe dismantling or repairs of the vessels.

The RDP crews have been offered either limited asylum or to return to Reizen. Civilian airliners have been reported standing ready at the VIP area of the Southern Grovne Airport.

After a long day of polling on the island of Sereva, during which peaceful protests were held by the so-called disenfranchised Serevans on the mainland, polling stations have now closed and the counting of ballots have begun.

The final result of the Serevan Independence Referendum, delayed by several recounts, has just been announced. With a turnout of 89%, Sereva has voted in favour of independence 57% to 43%.
