Recall of Prefessor Henn
#21

It wasn't for my advantage.

Arbiter, I would have been glad to explain my reasoning for saying what I did, but I was too slow to formulate words and was cut off:

[21:07] <Arbiter08> I'm done talking with you for the night. Maybe tommorow we can discuss this. Goodbye.

At which point, I felt it best to hold off of my explanation for tomorrow, lest I anger you which I didn't want to do. But, this recall came first, and now, I am struck in a very awkward position.
#22

Then please, do explain this:

"[21:06] <ProfessorHenn> What made you think I would actually give you the position?"

To me this sounds like someone who's bitter that they didn't get what they want. Instead of this you could have started explaining yourself then.

Also, what about this?:

[21:08] <ProfessorHenn> See you at the polls.

You could have said "See you tommorow", which would show that you still want to talk. This made me think that you weren't planning on talking it over tommorow, as such the recall went up.

Before I make a decision on this I think we need to know who this Mystery person is, doesn't everyone agree?

The identity of the person is irrelevant to the discussion. Come election time everyone will know, and I didn't want to spoil the fun of that. Wink

No, no we don't. The mystery person has nothing to do with the argument. The question is whether Henn committed corruption, and has nothing to do with the identity of the potential candidate.

The mystery person is involved in the argument as they are involved in this and they may also be involved with corruption. You can't call a recall and say someone is guilty of corruption if you yourself are hiding things.

I agree with Resentine. The logs clearly show a discussion between Arbiter and Henn. Mystery Person's identity is irrelevant.

I do not participate in the regional server, but I am happy to talk through instant messaging or on the forum.

Either way, as much as I dislike Henn. He has done nothing wrong as far as I can see. I mean he can't just give positions away can he?

He was promising that if he got elected delegate he would appoint me. That's the only way for him to get me onto the CSS or appoint me Deputy Delegate.

I wanted you onboard as a consultant, what with your brilliant experience and bold ideas. If I do get elected, I will want to do that regardless, not of patronage, but of merit, as Sandaoguo aptly gave the words.

I made a mistake, as I had wanted to nominate/appoint you regardless. I just mentioned them in the wrong way at the wrong time.
