So I would like to bring this thread back up, for a number of reasons. Since we have more countries entering the roleplay, it wouls be nice to designate them to a part of important historial events. The great war was a world war-esque roleplay that was acceptef as canon in all nation's histories. A war that span from 1949 till 1955. Mainly between Karnetvor & Noctenos vs Sedunn, Ryccia and Sporaltryus. Sporsltryus, Noctenos, Karnetvor are no longer with us. While we could not influence the end of the war, or the written alliances, We can however try to apply ourselves in the pages of history, one way or another. It would also be well to add battles as well What are your opinions? Or should we go with the status quo?

OOC: While not being totally opposed to it, I would go with the status quo and every nation can decide themselves, when they want, whether they were neutral or on one side or whatever.
GI-Land, Snolland and Hazelbrust for instance weren't part of the big battles that are canon history between the aforementioned countries - although maybe SOME soldiers were on some side, I haven't decided that yet - but instead they had an own little war in that time, which can be officially declared as part of the Great War, just like e.g. the 2nd Chinese-Japanese War is part of WW2.

OOC: I agree with GI, every nation should be free to decide whether and how they partook in it.
In my case, based on the timeline I already established, none was involved: Bruuma was busy with its independence war against the non-TSP colonial motherland, Puerto Pollo was out of the games and Kai Fa had just ended its own civil war.

Rebeltopia was busy with Amlos crushing the Commonwealths economy in the middle 1900s, but the war did have a helping hand with turning things around. While Rebeltopia and Amlos never declared sides, they did supply non-munition supplies (IE: food, steel, vehicle parts, etc.) to Sudunn, Ryccia, and Sporsltryus - albeit little at first, but with the growing need from these nations, the more output from the Commonwealth.

FiHami was under reign of the first "evil emperor" of 3 "evil emperors" and was not on global stage. Too underdeveloped until basically 2019 to really have any say in regional or global politic. The Great War had 0 effect on our tectonic hotspot of an island.
What were the factions in the Great War? I may consider it but during the time that the war was happening my nations were under fascist governments. It would depend whether or not the war would be in the southeastern continent or if a separate war broke out at the same time. A potential conflict I could see if a between the fascists, others, and the communist rebels in Sorbkraia. I am more interested in fleshing out my nations before deciding the details of a major historical RP event.
I'm not opposed to adding nations to the Great War, as long as the outcome is the same. There's also a good possibility to have a few "spin-off" wars that are more or less connected to the Great War.
As I said, we would be split between communists and monarchists, and after they won the civil war they would've joined the war for the Allies.

The Great War: Defence of the Peocracy. Five months after the 1949 declaration of war, the Peonic government was incredibly interested to join the war on the Karnetvorians side. The Royal Palace viewed that Sporaltryus is simply unfair in the entire beginning of the war, and it would be more than happy to take them on alongside the Karnetvorians. The Royal Assembly is teeming with wish for war, and to increase control over the region. They wanted war. But The Peony did not wish for it and nor does her cabinet. They wish to remain neutral in the conflict, they simply could not survive an all-out attack from the allies of the opposition. They had just escaped a famine of upmost proportions and they could not survive an economical downfall. Pressure from the north by the Ryccians and the Qvaiticans, as well as pressure from the south by the Karnetvorians and the Noctenosians is certainly unexpected. The Peony, Mei Yan, is a shogun, and a month after the war declaration of 1949, she managed to convince just enough councillors and shoguns to refuse joining the war on either side. But tensions are rising and unrest is waiting to happen. Between a rock and a hard place, it won't be long until combat happen in the Peonic theatre. She ordered the Shoguns to guard points of entry from both sides. The children of the Peony shall not see the bloodshed thats going to happen. Oh how one would hope.

Ryoko Stronghold, Watayako Prefecture, Central Province Peocracy of Huawan The Peony got out of her car after her chauffeur drove her to Ryoko Stronghold. The Central Military Headquarters ever since the Masako Dynasty and persisted in the War of the Red Moon between Sedunnic imperialists and Peonic Pirates. She knew that there are so many things that needed to be done, The Peocracy is way behind in war technology to combat against the superpowers on both sides. They were outgunned and outmatched in every side. She inherited an office full of conflict and turmoil, the current events do not quell her worries whatsoever. She walked as the Royal Guardians followed her with huge scimitars on their left and a pistol on their right. Compared to the troops in green with massive guns that she sees on the news. The Peocracy is unprepared for this, she thought. She wondered of her daughter, Lingxin, who's still at school. Probably studying her maths, she loves maths. She entered the room, and the members stood up. Generals, Councillors, and Shoguns. The Imperial Military Advisor Li Dongfe, sat beside her along with the Royal Premier Maya Hara. She knew there are many things to discuss. "My Nuwang," whispered the Imperial Military Advisor. Mei Yan looked up to him, "you must address the room." It occurred to Mei Yan that she was deep in thought with herself, its tabboo to begin conversations before The Peony, and she must open before beginning. "I don't want to, General." Whispered Mei Yan, before she gave a clap, a single clap that commanded the entire room. "Honorable Members, the fate of the country in such turbulence could not be ignored much longer. We must respect the results of the election of the Royal Assembly that the Peocracy must not formally join the war on any side. However we must prepare for whatever that may happen in the coming months." "The DanYang Castle and The Ancestral Hall continues to fight my Nuwang regarding the matter." Mentioned Imperial Shogun Lord Laveer. "Most wish to join the Imperials to fight alongside Karnetvor and Noctenos to push back the invaders. They lost their prince and the Sporaltryans are unwilling to show compassion, as for their allies, these imperialists from the Sporaltryan side see this as a perfect excuse to expand their own borders and slice up our region." "They knocked back the Ryccians from the former colony of Sporaltryus, those Ryccian sent their forces to occupy the fallen colony in the name of diplomacy and peace." Said Royal Field Marshall Hiro Hikaru "The Ryccians never fight for peace, they never uphold peace. They only uphold conflict, and conflict is what they wish upon us all." "Our brothers in Laiwan are chained by them and we must support their freedom against these white imperialists that took their land and bleached their colorful culture. We must ensure that they win and prevail against these filth" Added General Kuroyama Hideyoshi. "Are you mad? We neither have the technology nor the troops that could participate in the war. We do not have enough resources to fund a full scale war against anyone." Exclaimed Empire's Exchequer Lady Raina Faiyaa "You can't even pay the soldier with bread, let alone a grain of rice in combat. We must ensure our economic and industrial stability first. With the events going on there is not much trade that could happen between our client states with us." "The Navy has been instrumental in ensuring trade security continues between us and our client states. I have personally see that naval security of our interests remain a priority. They are ready to respond at a moments notice." Explained High Commodore Jabbar Xiu, "I assure you that we still hold the largest navy in the region and hold the strongest waters." "The Peonic Navy could not protect its trade routes and go on the offensive against the Allies or the Imperialsits."Said Royal Admiral Ray Nguyen. "We are holding the point from multiple sides, the Tekarai holds the east and the Karnetvorians hold the southwest. A full on naval offensive from all sides is simply not possible, and we defeinitely do not have enough landing forces for the mission." "It seems clear that a joint Karnetvor and Noctenos attack is going to strike the Kringalian holdout and the Sporaltryan military position." said Imperial Military Advisor Li Dongfe, "Piercing through Rebeltopia. They will definitely support the Amlos Commonwealth in their defence against Rebeltopia since the Rebeltopians have been supplying the Sporaltryan and the Ryccian war efforts." "They need to hold a stronghold in the southwest and would not hesitate in ensuring all neighboring territories of the Cordillera to achieve the stronghold. My Nuwang, we must join their side or ensure a peaceful agreement." Said Imperial Shogun Lord Laveer. "We must stabilize the DanYang Castle and the Ancestral Hall. We must ensure a united Assembly." "I admit that the members of the court of Huawan are rattled in the events that's currently occuring in the world, and they must understand that this is not a simple decision to make. Build a buffer zone in Minnan and the Eternan Forests. I declare that the Peocracy is in a state of emergency effective immediately." *Uproar* "My Peony, we could not accept this!" Said the Royal Field Marshall Hiro Hikaru. "Am I not her defender?" Asked The Peony. *Silence* "I am The Peony of Huawan, and I am her defender. Ensure that our people are guarded and no one is to join this war. If you are in disagreement and wish to join this war with the Allies, then you won't know the weight of blood on your hands." Mei Yan said, "If you wish not to hold the responsibility of the blood that'll run on your hands, then you are dismissed. Ensure the defence is fit." The meeting continues to be on an uproar. The Imperial Military Advisor Li Dongfe and the Royal Premier Maya Hara tapped The Peony's shoulders, brows expressing nothing but worry. "My Peony, this only leaves to divide the country further, you could not be like this." said Imperial Military Advisor Li Dongfe "I know what I said general." "This would certainly reflect on your review later on My Peony, they would not forget the day that you ignored the aspirations of the people." Said Royal Premier Maya Hara, "the moment will lead to your impeachment if you continue to displease them." The Peony paused, gazed at the uproar and whispered. ".....I have faith that the citizens of The Peocracy do not wish to support a war we are unequipped to fight in. I doubt those that chirp wish to hold a gun and fight in these zones. If the Peonic government could not understand that... well, I pray to Allah that mother nature would guide the children of the Peocracy to wisdom and common sense."
