[OOC] Roleplay Convention |
I'm still hoping to get some input on the proposed reorganisation. In the meantime, what do we think of the Logic Police? The idea behind it was that people could ask realism questions and and anyone with the answer could post there. Should we start a new thread with answers to some basic realism questions and an invitation for anyone to ask other questions?

Yes! And the organisation you proposed has my full support.
I'd like to ask a question regarding Off-Map Plots, specifically, how we will handle them, how do we consider them, etc. I am implying that we should figure out what might be beyond the edges of the map, so that there are a few more possibilities for us.
I would like to RP as Cyprus off the map, but for this to become a reality, I'd like a consensus on what we think of it. I support islands off-map, nothing else really. I'm an island myself. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If we decide to expand our plot possibilities, I would want to keep our current format of predefined plots.

Obviously not all landmasses are displayed on the map (yes, the polar continent ). I would support allowing for smaller islands off the map, and it would also be nice to have a complete map of the polar continent.

My only concern with that would be people who have no idea what they're talking about being involved. I'm not familiar enough with your community to name any names, but I've been around RP enough to have seen what happens when people who don't know what they're talking about get into positions where they can influence how people RP and get to decide on what is realistic. I think you'd have to vet any candidates for this Logic Police carefully, with some kind of disclosure of expertise as part of that.
Right now the Logic Police isn't an actual "police". It's more like a thread where anyone can ask questions about realism and nation building, and different people can answer. There is a risk of giving incorrect information, but so far I think we've been rather good at self-moderating in that regard.
Still, it'd be good to have other people's input. Maybe there are some improvements we can have. Former Delegate of the South Pacific

Maybe a set group of 'Logic Police' that can agree or disagree if they're ninja'd.
