Generic names would look more neat and would perhaps be more "durable", but may also be problematic as they may indicate that "anything goes" within the specific subforums, like playing an alternate france in a "Modern Technology" or a Star Wars roleplay in a "Science Fiction" subforum. I do want the roleplays using "Sector Map A1-0" and a future fantasy map to be the main sci-fi and fantasy canons, just like the "Pacifica stuff" is the modern tech canon.

I don't think that sci-fi and fantasy should be at the same level as Main Canon yet, they should grow a bit more first. Also, the other previous and future "Knowhere" threads need a home. How about the following?

Treasure Island
- Handbook
- Main Canon
--etc
- Extra/Additional Canons (is it possible to pluralise canon? )
-- Science Fiction
-- Fantasy

or

Treasure Island
- Handbook
- Pacifica Canon
--etc
- Extra/Additional Canons
-- Sector A1-0/Lampshade Galaxy (borrowing the more all-encompassing name from the previous incarnations of a TSP Sci-fi RP should we outgrow the sector map)
-- Fantasy/Whatever we will call the world


In the future the sci-fi and fantasy canons could get their own subforums and Extra/Additional Canons stay as a non-canon misc subforum, just like Knowhere.
