Vimmru Innienn, king of Sedunn, felt that tickling sensation in his stomach as the helicopter descended aggressively. He rolled his eyes. Navy pilots. The makeshift VIP transport, usually an antisubmarine helicopter, still managed a smooth touchdown on the grass not too far away from the castle. Last time Vimmru went to the island, he had taken the plane to the Kane Airport, but now it was busy handling the great number of foreign delegations, and Sedunn's geography allowed for the helicopter to alleviate the airport. A black car with Sedunnic plates waited for him on the far side of the small field.

It was time for some shotgun approach kind of diplomacy. The Peony and him seemed to think alike sometimes when it came to diplomacy.

President Mara Khuri come by a luxurious yacht from the shipbuilding company Tannos. It was one of the most exquisite ships Myria could offer and Khuri decided to show off her country's naval prowess. Upon her arrival she visited the many restaurants to try out the manner flavours from around the world as well go for a few runs around the island.

Secretary-General Noica, Prime Minister Gheorghe Vlaicu, Queen Melea & King Andrei III landed on a supersonic Condor plane from the Stoinian Royal Airways. Noica wore her Stoinian dress uniform while the King boasted a modest suit. The two separated their ways upon arrival with Noica discussing official matters with delegations from the Concordia Entente while the royal couple sought out their fellow monarchs on the island as Prime Minister Vlaicu went to brush off with the President from other CMEC member states.

Finally, President George D. Smith also arrived by plane from Manulaki. Photographers were able to get pictures of the President as he stumbled upon debarking the plane. Numerous memes have spread on the internet as the President enjoyed tropical island walks with the First Lady and their Sallodesian Ridgeback.

Joshua VII and the Starhawk Pact leaders boarded the Battleships Emral and Jylland II. The ships were escorted by the Heavy Cruisers Starton and Copenhagen. Joshua boarded his old ship, The Emral, while the other leaders boarded the Jylland II. The Royal Guard boarded the Heavy Cruisers.

"Sir, we'll arrive in 5 hours"
"Contact the port, tell them we have our weapons cold."
Joshua made his down to his temporary quarters, hoping to get some rest before the conference.

King Radu was sleeping soundly in his bed, with his wife Maria. However, a knock on their door at about 6:00 woke both of them up. The door would be opened by the castle mailman. ''Sir, Madam, there is something you need to see, immediately.''. Radu would be given the letter and he would read it, and would jump out of bed. ''Maria, this is serious. We need to get ready for a Political summit on Government Island.'' He told her. At 6:15, The entire family would be woken up and would get ready. At 6:30 They would take multiple taxis to arrive to Mihai Viteazul International Airport, which was fairly empty at this time of day. They would go on their plane at 7:00, which would enter the skies at 7:05. There was a storm off the coast of Dacia, and so the plane made a detour through Rijk airspace, which would slow down the arrival time. The plane continued as normal over the South Pacific Ocean after it got around the storm. The plane would arrive on Government Island at 8:40. At 9:30, the Pătrașcu family would purchase a room in a hotel in Bantam Harbor.

President Blanc spotted spear fishing and swimming in Bantam bay earlier today, before she stopped for lunch with president Mara Khuri of Myria on the Myrian presidential yacht.

Having just been appointed as prime minister, Steve Bennett travelled to Government Island to attend the summit and came alongside Foreign Minister Avianna Aldridge, who will be having talks with her Hystaigan counterpart in a separate summit to negotiate a peaceful end to the Kalkara War. One thing is clear, the summit between foreign ministers will continue even if the Government Island Summit ends, which could see Bennett also meeting with his Hystaigan counterpart, who had once been imprisoned by his predecessor during the war. To Bennett, this summit meant everything in the name of peace. Bennett, himself a veteran of the 2014 war of the South Pacific who had also lost his own daughter in a war neither of them believed in, felt that it was his personal duty and responsibility to attend the summit.

The Valkyrian foreign policy agenda at the summit was simple: reaffirming the national principles of peace, freedom, and democracy and reengaging in the international realm after abandoning its global role in 2019. The new government knew that Valkyria's global reputation and standing was lower because of the Kalkara War and its influence waned because of three years of disengagement from global affairs. Valkyria's participation in the Government Island Summit will represent the new government's attempt to not only return to the pre-2019 status quo ante but an expansion of Harrison-era principles that earned the nation the World Forum speakership in 2018, something that seems like a lifetime ago now.

Hystaiga will be represented at the Government Island Summit by its Korkein Ääni, the Supreme Voice, Blisse Starke and her foreign minister, Raakel Reijonen. Hystaiga, itself a victim of war, saw the Government Island Summit as an opportunity to pursue peace not only at home but everywhere else in the world. At the same time, the Hyustaigan delegation will also meet with the Valkyrian delegation to discuss a framework for peace. However, they were adamant that any peace agreement with Valkyria would have to include justice and punishment for war crimes and reparations to rebuild a nation destroyed by war.

Hystaiga knows all too well the destruction of war, and this perspective as a nation on the brink of peace in its homeland after nearly three years of foreign aggression will offer both a warning for nations on the brink of war and a promise of a better future. While peace is near for Hystaiga, war is near for the world-at-large, representing a national pendulum moving in the opposite direction of the one moving the rest of the world. However, one thing is certain. Hystaigan isolationism will become a remnant of the past, and it will finally lend its voice to global affairs for the first time in a thousand years.

"Andy, come over here. Kapela's gone crazy on social media again," Troy Cayetano, President of The Lile Ulie Islands said. James Kapela was the frontrunner Republican (opposition) candidate for president. And Andy Garland was an aide to Cayetano. "Criticizing us for going to the Government Island Summit because of Izaakia's attendance? What? What's wrong with Izaakia?" Another aide, Laura, chimed in, "their stance on universal health care. Kapela believes that people who have the money should only receive healthcare." Vicky Akana, the country's liberal Vice President thought to herself, "that idiot. Universal health care? What's wrong with that." Laura took out her computer and composed a Stream (social media platform) post. Laura spoke. "What about something like explaining the pros of universal health care?" Cayetano shook his head. "Eh, maybe something else." "What about talking about debunking the cons of universal health care? That should be good," Laura said. "Eh, not really," Cayetano replied. "You're a real curmudgeon," Cayetano's wife, Nicole, said. 

After finally composing a social media post, the plane was landing at Government Island. (more to come soon...)

With the acceptance of the invite, his excellency President Fedorov would ready his bags and call for a final meeting for the time being at capital hall.

At this meeting he would put the VP in charge for the time and would bring his MoFA and SoS along for the trip.

At around 8:05 that evening he would depart  Qâli-Venedikt Ăroporta Inţernaşi on an Oceanic Airways private jet, customized for the President’s like, bound to Government Island.

Throughout the night the plane faced little trouble on its route, with minimal turbulence here and there. At around 4:35 in the morning, the jet landed in Bantam Bay, where the President and his travel cabinet would book rooms at a hotel nearby.

Empress Hestia, after a hiatus from public life to focus more on her duties to her family, and Grand Minister Viranius would accept the invitation gleefully.  A few years of taking a back seat in active world affairs whilst maintaining Pax Dracon's humanitarian aid pledges was difficult, but a worthy challenge.  The two would arrive by ship, the aging Grand Minister no longer able to travel by air as comfortably as he used to.  Rumors abound that he will be retiring after this term ends.
