Parole Board Made the Wrong Choice on Milograd
#71

Yes, I looked into his trial before I contributed to the debate on the PB and Indefinite sentencing.

I suggest that you give the "Ban on Indefinite Sentencing" thread a read before you assume Uni is abusing his role as CoA for personal gain Aram.

I was there when Milograd couped, and my opinion is as valuable as that of TAC. He has access to enough historical information to make informed decisions.

I wouldn't call it "less valuable", but I would say their information is a "less complete".

I think everyone contributing to this debate are familiar with this topic and reasonably intelligent. However, old threads don't give you ancient IRC conversations, old telegrams, or experience on what fighting a coup truly loos like.

I think TAC has offered some strong insight. I also think first hand experience has a level of value as well.

But that's what some are implying, HEM. Even if they don't say it outright, the posts of some are basically about how newer people have no business deciding about Milograd and his place in this region, just because they weren't there. I find that unacceptable, because we are all citizens, and that's the only should that should matter.

It is one thing to participate in the debate to provide context, and sincerely try to allow everyone reach the best position possible. It is quite another to say that only those who were present at the time of the coup can make the right calls about the course of the region.

Would I be treated the way TAC and others are being treated, if I made the same arguments about Sedgistan? I certainly hope not, because that is not the South Pacific I know, and that is most certainly not the South Pacific I have served for nearly two years now.

Posts outside High Court venues should be taken as those of any other legislator.
I do not participate in the regional server, but I am happy to talk through instant messaging or on the forum.
