From the Discord discussion, I proposed we create a new world called Aurora (from TSP 1116's name), an accompanying map, and the presence of dragons. I hope that we can find consensus in establishing a new canon in TSP RP.

How about the general setting being an island or archipelago that is slowly sinking into the ocean? The various races have to either come together to figure out how to survive or compete for the shrinking land.

I think it would be nice to have a more character based roleplay than we have in the other two canons. We could have a few kingdoms, tribal territory and various badlands, but no roleplayer controls these directly. Most focus could be on an old sleepy town and the peripheral mountainous region that it is located in. They used to be far away from everyone's attention attention, but now suddenly finds itself in the middle of all of this.

I think we should aim for a an early mediaeval technology setting. The different races could have cultural traits from real-life mediaeval-like cultures. For example, elves could be Inca, humans 11th century Chinese etc. And why not Nordic water dwelling creatures?

Aurora could be the dawn of a new era for the islanders.

Why not do both? The archipelago/island could be one region in Aurora, while another landmass could house a game of throne type story. The Fantasy forum could act as a de facto library collecting the tales of Aurora's many denizens and regions.

That is a great idea and allows for both to exist in the same subforum.

Sounds good. The two roleplays should be coordinated in origin stories of the various races, civilisations and lore.

Maybe it would be possible to combine these two somehow in a balanced way? Leaders of dynasties have to deal with rogue elements and specific people that are influential or can be, somehow. Like Aragorn and Gandalf.

that's a great idea and lets us reuse characters from other rps.
