Has anyone identified a point to this proposal yet - I mean, beyond Islands wanting to pass more legislation.

In respect to Section 2, Clause 3 & 4:

Quote:(3) Any legislator may suggest to censure any government, group, or individual for any reason.

(4) A censure shall not be considered to express guilt of any crime for any government, group, or individual and shall only represent the Assembly's opinion

I suggest a slight change to:

Quote:(3) Any legislator may suggest censuring any government, group, or individual for any reason.

(4) A censure shall not be considered as an expression of guilt of any crime for any government, group, or individual and shall only represent the Assembly's opinion

Update: A vote on this bill has been opened.

For the record:

I have written to Islands of Unity to ask whether these changes are acceptable to him. Islands replied that he is having connection issues and could not view the changes. Having supplied him with a screenshot of the above message, he agreed to them.

With there being no more outstanding matters to discuss in this thread, I will begin a vote momentarily.

As Islands cannot do so himself, I have attached the bill (with the amended language included) in a spoiler below. I have also provided a screenshot of our conversation in a separate spoiler.

I urge a Nay on this bill. This will only be yet another toxic tool for political squabbles.
Deputy Regional Minister of the Planning and Development Agency(March 8-May 19, 2014)

Local Council Member(April 24-August 11)

Court Justice of TSP(August 15-December 7)

This bill is highly undemocratic as unfair treatment can be brought on any Individual, government or group that does not approve of the Assembly majority's agenda. Therefore my vote will go against any versions of this proposal to pass through the Assembly.
