The Peocracy of Huawan and the Kingdom of Sedunn have been nominated. According to Res. 1, Section B, an election shall be held, following the Instant Runoff system, for a total of 7 days.

Each member state is entitled one vote, and a selection to reopen nominations shall be included. The state receiving a majority shall be elected to the speakership, with their World Forum Representative being styled as Speaker of the Assembly of the World Forum, and they shall take office at the conclusion of the previous president's term.

By a vote of 2 to 1 in the first round, the Kingdom of Sedunn has won the election of Speaker of the Assembly and shall hold the seat in an official capacity until November 2019. The new speaker will now have the power to nominate a deputy if he so chooses, who him or herself will be voted upon and will only require a simple majority vote in favour. The election of a Deputy Speaker will be open for seven days.
