Both life imprisonment and the death penalty are legal in both Fauderland and Sorbkraia.

In Fauderland while it’s rare for someone to be imprisoned for life, it’s still used for more serious offences.

Life imprisonment is only reserved for the most extreme of cases in Ryccia. In case of crimes like high treason and such, the death penalty is an option.

After the end of the Chaos War and the merging of the Olympian Republic with the Kalon Order, the former law of 50 years max was repealed and reinstated as life imprisonment with capital punishment.

Queen Charlotte I. has abolished life imprisonment after the Great War.
The maximum sentence in GI-Land is 25 years. However it's possible that people, who committed crimes and can't be trusted (e.g. for psychological reasons) will get surveilled by police and psychologists for their life after the prison sentence.

In Snolland the same rules exist.

the Termina trade guild reserves the right to imprison individuals convicted of a crime for life so that they may be sold or used for the betterment of the guild.

The Frost Empire retains life imprisonment as a means of housing inmates convicted of certain crimes. These criminals pay their debt to the victims and society in peace and are eligible for parole on the recommendation of the victim or victim’s family if deceased, and a neutral observer.

In the Commonwealth, There are no "Life in Prison," but use of consecutive terms when dealing with multiple guilty verdicts is common, and could lead to a "life" sentence.  In most cases of extreme offenses, capital punishment is an option, but rarely used.
