Nobody Expects the Izaakian Inquisition
Last night protests gathered outside the Montacian regional assembly in La Citadelle, the protests started peacefully. However, during the night Izaakian Chief Inquisitor Atticus Wolfgang arrested 52 members of the regional assembly on charges of corruption, and marched them from the Assembly building through the protestors in ancient square to the Inquisition HQ where the members of the La Montagne assembly will remain in jail until their trial date. During the excursion across the square, rough police handling of the matter incited violence and they were set upon by the mob. There were no deaths, however Chief Inquisitor Atticus Wolfgang was severely injured from a Molotov Cocktail thrown at the entourage.

Following the peace treat between Besern and Absolutan the Izaakian Government lifts its ban on travel to the 2 regions, and reopens the embassy in Brient.
Ambassador Dr Stella Blanc celebrated the peace saying “This is a great moment for peaceful diplomacy, and I am happy to return to the embassy in Brient and invite fellow izaakians to return to the region, and I am over the moon that the conflict has ended so soon”
Sedunnic king Vimmru congratulates the leaders of Besern and Absolutan on the new peace treaty, calling it "a victory for reason and diplomacy, the way forward for the rest of the region".
The King and Leader also congratulates the two parties. "We do not need any more wars in North Cordilia, instead we need stability and peace", he said in a brief statement to the press.
