Minister-President Raymond Doumergue apparently escaped from his home where he was put under house-arrest yesterday and according to some witnesses was seen boarding a small plane in Philippesville. The escape is said to have been accomplished with the help of mercenaries of unknown nationality. Sources say that the men were speaking "neither Mauquibian or Austral".
Grand Duke Louis-Philippe III has declared a state of emergency which effectively enacts martial law over the nation. Minister-President Raymond Doumergue has allegedly been seen stepping out of a small private plane bearing the Coat of Arms of the House of Cavagnal at Princia-Geneva—Brantavilla International Airport in Anserisa. This would corroborate the story that he successfully escaped his house-arrest in Mauquibie. However, the presence of the personal coat of arms of the Royal Family has led to many rumours that the daughter of Grand Duke Louis-Philippe III and heir presumptive to the throne of Mauquibie has been the one helping the Minister-President escape the country. She had recently been vocal on the need for reforms in Mauquibie and tabloids even suspected a love affair between the Duchess of Bourbonnais and Doumergue.
King, Leader and provisional Chancellor Gianluca IV has declared, neither he nor WF-Ambassador Meise will attend the Leader's Debate this August, instead the government will send foreign minister Sanddorn.

Prime Minister Phelps has announced to Qans a Travel/Tourism agreement has been made between Qaweritoyu and Anseria. He said he looks forward to making a Parliament statement on this after the Winter Holidays and has vowed that the current Government and Governments to come will be committed to upholding this agreement. The Prime Minister also announced a commercial trade agreement between Qaweritoyu and Kosberland, which is also to be upheld by the present and future Governments. He says he looks forward to maintaining both agreements and that any profits made by Qaweritoyu will go into the Rainy Day Fund, which is a Government scheme saving money for a future emergency if it arises.
Prime Minister Phelps is urging people not to forget about the World Forum Membership Referendum taking place on 25 August. He said it could be easy to forget as Parliament are out on their Winter Holidays at the moment.

It also uses the name of Ikoania which roughly translate to biggest river, with the blue diagonal separating its lush forests and beautiful beaches.
