(This is one of my social media advisors typing this in a secure location. I ordered them to publish this. I'm currently in a military prison) I know I'm going to get slaughtered by the junta for this, but they were going to execute me regardless. The legitimate government of the Ryccian Federation had been usurped by the insubordinate armed forces. Marshal Ashley Lachuentstin has seized control as the head of the so-called "State Administration Council". The day I and many of my colleagues in the cabinet feared for years has now arrived. We tried to move as delicately as we could to avert this tragedy, but it seems that our attempt to communicate with the Denverians about the military's flagrant disregard for our orders to not breach their airspace was the last straw for them. We failed in our efforts to contain the military's excesses and ambitions. We simply failed. The junta is being far more brutal than we could've ever imagined. Their brutality and sheer insanity has left me and many Ryccians dumbfounded and stunned. These militarist fanatics won't have any mercy. I know how their minds work, I've seen them in action at our briefings. They won't de-escalate. They'll only ramp up the suffering and carnage if need be if it means preserving their power over the country. To them, anyone who dissents from their militarist ideology is a weak-willed, cowardly, pacifist traitor that needs to be shot, and that is precisely what they're doing. That is why they shot MP Nardunsen and Senator Sonbury. Millions across the world must be horrified, questioning how the military can act so savagely in their suppression. They only believe in force and fear. They have no respect for diplomacy or human rights. These concepts, to them, are obstacles to the country's sovereignty and military might. For instance, the only reason they haven't committed any war crimes in the Valoran intervention was because of our orders, commanding them to uphold the principles of the Grovne Convention. With our restraints gone, they will have no pity. So far, all Valoran factions against the autocrats have acknowledged that Ryccian units in the war seldom commit any crimes against humanity. This will soon change. To all the capitals of the world: take it from me. You're no longer negotiating with a government with some common sense or any respect for international norms. You're now dealing with a cabal of zealots who don't care about such rules. They will step on any norm, precedent or international law that stands in the way of their aims. They cannot be trusted. They cannot be recognized as legitimate. This is a terrorist gang hellbent on imposing its vision on Ryccia and beyond. The President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mary Anne Folsberg, is on a jail cell right next to me. I have her authorization to declassify the following information, to be made public to the nation and the world. We may die, but we're prepared to give our lives to the nation. Even in death, we'll fight on forever. The 100,000 Ryccian troops on the border with Ikaranara... I wonder if the explanation for this seemingly irrational move is to either move troops that are less loyal to the junta away from the central regions, or is it a classical ploy to unite the people against a fake threat? I'm not sure who's behind it, but this new social media campaign #Home_to_Greatness is onto something. Early in the Great War Ryccia decided to take a stance against the Imperialists. They managed to send naval reinforcements around Northern Cordilia, daringly, through Frankist waters. Together with Sedunn, Stoinia, and the TCC they ended Karnetvorian, Technerean and Tekarian imperialism in the GW, saving the region. Greatness. A word for the junta: shooting business magnates doesn't fix the economy, if that's what they're planning. I can understand the #Peocracy being discontent about not having been invited to the #CE foundation talks. Whether this had reasons or not, I won't and in parts can't comment on. However acting like a peculant child now, talking about "#non-alignment" while aligning with the USI just out of spite or unnecessary, misinformed fear, cannot be the solution either. I hope to see the Peocracy on our negotiating table soon, but their current actions do only one thing, which is the thing they wanted to pretend: Sowing mistrust. It's our belief, that nations should be able to do what they desire to do, whether great and powerful or small and less significant on the international stage (exceptions: breaches of international law and in some cases the nuclear weapon and climate action policy), however those nations will then need to bear the consequences of their actions. This applies to us and our sanctions on nuclear states and also to the Peocracy and their so-called "non-alignment policy", which has shown in the last few days to be a cover-up term for the actual policy of solidifying their own regional and the USI's global power.
