Language Discussion |
I already said twice that TSSS only speaks English and Astrofolk (Polish will be a minority language of a specific region).
You did? Alright, will edit.
I changed my mind after I realized how much RP background history I needed to make to include all those languages, not a pretty sight. I kept Polish because I came up with a backstory a while ago. Something about some guy called Po.
I'm OK with the names, but I need to clarify that Karnetvorian is not fully Russian, as it has words taken from Ukrainian and Serbian, and some invented words. I think of it like a language related to Russian and Ukrainian (Resentinian?).

What is Serbian? What is Russian?

Some words are changed (or replaced by ones from Serbian or Ukrainian), some letters are not present (ъ and ы), etc. It is a language of its own. So, ICdly, I say Karnetvorian is related to Russian (spoken in Qvait) and Resentinian/Ukrainian. We would have to define where and how they originated, and if there are any Karnetvorian speaking minorities in Qvait and Resentine and vice versa.

Because I wondered where those language would be.
Good idea. I don't know what Farengeto thinks about my language so I save it for later. |
