Ha'Hani International Airport is set to open in the next few days.

The airport has 5 gates, labelled A-E, and is the hub for Ari Fi, a company who's ad has been mocked when the owner attempted to speak english.

Huakani'ite is a restauraunt set to be the featured restauraunt in the airport, offering a wide selection of famous FiHamian dishes, including the restauraunts' signature Klikine Tipute, which is crab, rolled in seaweed and sea oats, and fried in coconut oil.

The airport also hosts several gift shops with souvenirs, environmentally safe sunscreen, bathing suits, and FiHamian crafts sourced locally.

Tea Culture in FiHami

by Tess Kikukafi

HA'HANI- Inside Ha'Hani tea culture, we bring Toma Fi'anki, owner of the prestigious shop Nixshi Ai-Huah, to discuss tea habits and types.

Down the Pa'aishi, sits Nixshu Ai-Huah. A modest lot on a gorgeous road full with jungle beauty, Nixshi Ai'Huah has gained a cult following for its variety of teas, served very traditionally.

"We harvest our teas ourselves, dry them over the fire the traditional way. It really is the only way to properly draw out the flavors of the leaves. We grow our leaves too, in the outdoor seating area." Explains Fi'anki.

Customers are greeted by the traditional "kiria Ha'Finix finixli", by greeters wearing the company uniform- a red hibiscus crown, red hi'ai-shi necklace, banana leaf top, and long-leaf palm skirt. Traditionally it is an outfit worn in FiHami's historical tea parties by the host. Customers recieve the orange hibiscus crown, and proceed to the order area. All the available teas are listed in a large chalkboard, clearly visible to everyone upon entering. After ordering, customers are encouraged to sit on any of the hand-woven seating pads throughout the store, where they will deliver the tea to customers for their enjoyment.

"Everything in the shop is done with respect to the great tea parties of old. In fact, the store building is over 1,000 years old! It survived cyclones, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and the Cancerton Frying!" Fi'anki laughs. "My family has kept this tea house for many years. I'm just following family tradition, really."

The teas themselves are dried every 3 hours, packaged, and brewed over a fire, continually fed with Kailule logs, in a pot. The teas boil for 5 minutes, then are served in clay mugs, painted specially with many famous symbols in Finixian legends. On the walls are the paintings of legends, including the original Phoniox, Ha'Coron' Kilaueia (d. ~1325) who historically was the chief who returned the fish to the Finix Isles, and a new painting of Ha'Coron' Finix dancing in the burning ruins of Teti'. Many jungle paintings, painting of Ri-Ha'Fi-nix, and even a birds' eye view of Ha'Hani around 1732.

"I hope my shop will continue as it is long after I die, just like my ancestors probably hoped. May Nixshi Ai'Huah remain open until the Great Phoenix comes to burn the earth." Was Fi'anki's final remarks concerning the future of the store.

FiHami Women's Team On A Winning Streak

by Elliott Brooke

The Women's Basketball team surprised coach Aikana Hawanaki on the first win of the Basketball World Cup, and amazed the nation on the 3rd win.

"I'm going to admit, I was so surprised. In training, the men and women seemed downcast and upset. I didn't think that they would get through game one. But their tough spirit shouldn't have surprised me." Coach Hawanaki said.

The team trained for 2 weeks on a cleared field with makeshift hoops before game one. Upon being questioned about establishing a sports stadium for FiHami, Hawanaki mentioned that there are "plans going around", but that will still be into the farther future.

"Football seems to be the people's favorite sport here. We will make sure that we at least have a football stadium for the 2020 Football season. Other sports won't be forgotten, however." Sports planner Ha'ai Fori promised.

The FiHami Women's team has won 3 games straight so far without any end in sight.

The team consists of:
  • Point Guard- Ekuna Li'anuke (FWC, BWC)
  • Shooting Guard- Finixi Tai'iri (FWC, BWC)
  • Small Forward- Fi'Shi Skyak (BWC)
  • Power Forward- Finix Pakupe (FWC, BWC)
  • Centre- Elenor Wright (FWC, BWC)
  • Tasha Burns (BWC)
  • Terra Burns (BWC)
  • Charlotte Anderson (FWC, BWC)
  • Sasha Illi (BWC)
  • Eni Joseph (FWC, BWC)
  • Ahi Fiorst (FWC, BWC)

"Did they really think we were gonna lose?" Point Guard Ekuna Li'anuke posted on social media following the first round.

"I like to think us and the boys as family. Some of them even are family by blood. And you do anything for family, together. In Hani. Because that's who we are. A great big sports family." Centre Finix Pakupe said in a recent interview. "And the moment we lose that, like we learned from the football cup, we lose who we are and fall apart. I won't let it happen to us again."

A good portion of the basketball teams also were rostered for the Football World Cup.

Fi'Shi "Flamey" Skyak Unable to Play, FiHami's Teams Cursed

by Elliott Brooke

First Tracey Holmes, now Fi'Shi Skyak.

The late Football star seems to left a curse on FiHami's National Sports Teams. Fi'Shi Skyak, aged 14, was FiHami's star basketball player it seemed.

"She was great at capturing the hearts of the nation, and great at Basketball." Reports Coach Aikana Hawanaki. "She's the youngest of our girls, and the shortest. But one of the best."

Skyak was taken to an emergency room overseas after going into cardiac arrest, following collapsing just a few short hours ago. She was revived successfully, and remains in Valkyria's care up until this point.

"It's a curse on FiHami sports teams. One player in a team is going to die or at least get close to it. We just have to hope it's not us." Eni Joseph commented.

"Regarding Skyak, we're having trouble communicating with the Valkyrian doctors but trust that they know what they're doing. With all that being said, she is out for at least the season." Coach Hawanaki stated.

Fi'Shi "Flamey" Skyak was born July 13th, 2004, in Cancerton (now Ha'Hani). She began playing sports when she was 7. She played Finixian League Basketball until she turned 11, where she quickly advanced to Major League games. Skyak donated about 96% of her sports earnings to charity from 2015 to 2017 before the "Sports Ban Act" of 2017 which barred those of Finixian descent to play sports professionally. She entered the Women's World Cup 2019 after what judges described as a "flawless" tryout.

Mysterious Bottle Contents Identified, Trial Underway for Tasha Burns

The mysterious bottle found in Tasha Burns' luggage has been identified as Chloroform.

Initial blood tests from Fi'Shi Skyak's admission to the emergency room showed a dangerous level of Chloroform in her bloodstream.

"I wouldn't hurt Flamey to save my life! I didn't even know there was a bottle of Chloroform wrapped in my personal hygiene products." Tasha Burns reportedly claimed today to investigators.

"Tasha wouldn't hurt a soul. It's very out of character to even consider hurting anyone." Tasha's sister Terra Burns said.

"How did she even know exactly where I found the bottle?" Ekuna Li'anuke commented after Tasha's statement when public. "This just confirms it for me. We were eating after Tasha cooked for us. Shortly after that, Flamey dropped. And not too long after that we were rushing to the nearest hospital in a foreign land, with no [redacted] clue to what the doctors were trying to tell us. Thank Ha'Finix that Coach kinda knows the universal language or else communication would have been even worse."

Skyak has been released from the hospital and sent home for continued monitoring. Skyak has made no statements regarding the incident. Casey Skyak, Fi'Shi Skyak's mother, has posted a statement regarding the incident:

"We have been so worried for Fi's life and grateful to Ha'Finix that she is ok. As for whoever hurt my daughter like this, I hope fury rains down on them and justice is served."

The team is preparing to challenge Faulderland in the BWC tomorrow.

Cyclonic Storm Bearing On FiHami, Impacts Imminent

A very recently spotted cyclonic storm, named "Cyclone Ahi", with windspeeds of 115kph, is projected to impact FiHami today. Meteorologists failed to identify the storm beforehand due to the BWC excitement.

The main danger is anticipated to be the high winds, which could destroy taller and weaker structures. Otherwise, the nation is advised to be wary of waterspouts, storm surge, and flooding.
