President Kensei's Perspective

President Kensei sighed softly to himself as he listened to the complaints of the Council, the Generals, the nobles and the victims of the war. All of the complaints directed at him boiled down to demanding the Empire's immediate withdrawal, or use weapons of mass destruction to beat the insurgents into submission.

However, surrender and WMDs were lines that he refused to cross, and so he sought alternatives, turning a blind eye to the Bruuman and Kai Fa air force and allowing the Bzern and RDC to withdraw back to Zett island peacefully to focus on the RIM contingent there. Now with the assault on Mibu island and the news that the RIM may acquire nuclear arms, time was of the essence. He had convened a short military meeting earlier in the day to inform them that he will inform the Sedunners that they will start the Offensive to retake Reizen from the RIM in two days time. While some expressed hesitation at the exclusion of the Amphibious force, most agreed that a ground offensive should peel enough insurgents from their coastal defenses by the time the facilities at Mibu and Reizen Island are repaired.

With that, he raised the phone and contacted the Sedunnic Embassy in Oured, "Hello, this is President Revan Kensei of the Frost Empire requesting to speak to your leaders."

"... and that is why we will focus on implementing this inflation independent fee already during the next year. However, it is important to note that..."

King Vimmru was interrupted by his secretary approaching the podium. Something was apparently so important that he had to interrupt his lecture on circular economy that he gave at the Southern Grovne University. The timing was not great, but could also have been worse. He had at least finished his speech, but it was in the middle of the question time. The students looked surprised, almost chocked, as he followed his secretary out. They rushed to his car, which was the only certified place to receive such a sensitive call, guaranteed there would be no one else listening to the conversation.

Vimmru was quite sure what the call would be about. They had planned and prepared for this moment. His mandate was clear. As he sat down in the car, he unmuted the phone and spoke.

"This is Vimmru. I am sorry for the delay, Mr. president, but I had to get to a place where we are sure no third party can hear our conversation. Now, how may I help you?"

"It is alright your majesty, but I would like to inform you that you have permission to enact Musical Cartography within 48 hours." Responded President Revan Kensei. The President then continued, "The Empire will launch a full scale counter offensive against the RIM, and draw out any hidden WMD launch sites as we breakthrough their lines. Our offensive will hopefully entice the WPR to rejoin the ceasefire officially while also cutting off any enemy reinforcements to Zett Island allowing the RDC and their foreign backers to retake Zett Island in its entirety."

"That is good news. In addition to the saturation attack, we are also ready to deploy airborne and airmobile forces up to brigade size within 12 hours in a strategic area, and conduct a battalion-sized amphibious assault within 55 hours. If you approve, these forces could be used to create an airhead for further deployment of Frost forces. Or indeed additional Sedunnic forces, like a fighter wing for ground support."

"That would be greatly appreciated, since our own airborne corps can't penetrate the RIM air defense network. If you can help us breach their network and establish an Airhead that will allow us to outflank the RIM. We would also appreciate additional CBRN units to deal with their increased chemical weapons usage when we naval invade Kinjishi in a few days."

"Once we have established the airhead, we can fly in additional CBRN units and hospital resources.

A final question. We can still count on your committent to the Grovne Peace Conference?"

"We will need to renegotiate terms between the parties of the former Grovne Ceasefire, but at this time, the Empire has no intention of reneging on the Grovne Ceasefire." responded President Kensei

"There must not be any doubt. Our intervention will be in vain if the parties of the Grovne Ceasefire don't get their promised seat at the negotiating table and representation in the referendum. Do you guarantee that? Global peace depends on that. And furthermore, Sedunn must not be seen as an aggressor in this war."

"Of course renegotiating the Grovne Ceasefire hinges on having the former parties having a seat at the negotiating table. Our citizens understand fully that Sedunn is not an aggressor, but the same could not be said for those working for the RIM or WPR. I understand that the WPR has pragmatists within their ranks, but if their more hardline figures continues to be their public face, we can't guarantee that they may try to paint you as an aggressor despite our official statements contradicting their propaganda."
