Empress Astrid flew back from GI Land today to organise a relief effort for the disaster struck nation of LandLand. She is reported to have said, “When times of great disaster befall our world, we must pull together as one people and unite in the effort to save lives and rebuild.”
It is understood izaakia will be sending heavy machinery to clear debris as well as tents for temporary shelter, food rations and water.
Foreign Minister Charles Boulangerie is expected to visit LandLand in the hope of assisting in their new commitment to open up to the world. He said “this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to bring LandLand into the international community, for the enrichment of all lives in Pacifica”

Chancellor Kirchmann has reportedly advised WF-amassador Meise to bring in a swift motion into the Committee of Economy, so WF-members can react united on what has happened in Landland, another WF-member. Foreign minister Sanddorn also emphasised in a brief interview: "Separate actions are from the past. If the WF can't act here, it won't act anywhere in the future."

Minister of Foreign Affairs Aberlil Berlyne has decided to start to deploy aid to Landland is expected to visit Landland to assist recovery and humanitarian aid work. A visit to also have a talk with the government over diplomacy and opening up Landland to the world is also considered.

Disaster relief personnel and equipment are being prepared in Sedunn. The Sedunnic government has expressed its desire for Landland to make a formal request to the WF for what specific aid is needed to facilitate coordination.

The storm is the seventh to affect Landland this year and as such has been named Storm Gemstone. With winds reaching speeds of up to 40m/s it was truly devastating.

Izaakian aid response to LandLand has reportedly been delayed by the unexplained lack of military aircraft and support ships. Izaakia Air and Polestar Shipping have stepped in to fill the logistic gap, and first shipments will begin tonight.
It is believed that Empress Astrid attempted to summon Prime minister Ernest LeRogue to explain this lack of availability. However his location has been unknown since he was seen leaving G-I land on the Prime ministerial Jet 2 days ago.

Rain from Storm Gemstone has flooded parts of northeastern North Prarie. Prariean Emergency Response has been dispatched to the area. The death toll so far is reported as 2.

President Lindon had a press conference today to field questions about the situation in Landland. He announced that North Prarie would send in resources and the Prariean Army to help residents and mitigate the effects of the disaster.
