I guess that EMP burst in Shanghai. That was pretty interesting.

Ah, yes.

Most military equipment is built to survive an EMP burst though. At least a MT one.

Military, yes. However, if you set off an electromagnetic pulse over a heavily-populated civilian area, you could send an economy into turmoil, yes?

Cause(s) for the war: It begins as a peacekeeping operation in a collapsing nation involving a few nations with different interests and goals. The nations don't agree, which leads to provocations and ultimately open conflict that escalates.

People and countries involved: Nations involved in peacekeeping operations in the collapsing nation.

Alliances during the war: Two main alliances with opposing goals. We probably need to come up with new.

What happens during the war: Escalation and failing diplomacy, open hostilities and operations aiming to secure strategic territory before the opponent to gain the upper hand before an all out war.

How the war ends: It would be interesting if a total war never breaks out. One side wins (can go through with their plans without hindrance) because it manages to secure most of these strategic spots, rendering the other side severely locked in, risking heavy losses.

So, after taking some time talking about an EMP burst, let's build on what you have. The collapsing country is receiving help in a peacekeeping operation because the country is unstable due to the possibility of a civil war erupting. The countries involved take sides on political goals. We can make this similar to Germany after World War II, where it is divided. One side wants to bring democracy to the collapsing country, while the other side is a collection of dictatorships.

Further disagreement puts the peacekeeping operation into jeopardy and the collapsing country enters a civil war. After months of war, the two sides agree to an armistice and the country is divided East and West (or North and South). After the armistice, we end this sequence with a "to be continued…"

Maybe there should be a Q alliance (Qwert-Qvait). Nowadays I have to look twice to be sure who posted last Tounge

Well, let's decide on the sides.

What name should we give "the good side?"
Factions on "the good side": the Q Partnership

What name should we give "the bad side?"
Factions on "the bad side":
